I think that dance of curse perfectly sums up the Guymelef Escaflowe, in that it is both majestic and terrifying. If one goes too far with it, the guymelef of power, will consume its master. In order to truly master escaflowne an not become xonsumed, it truly is a dance, and one that could kill you. Vision of Escaflowne was influenced by arhturian legends. In arthurian legend, you have Excalibur, the sword of power, that is drawn from the stone by the rightful king. in vision of Escaflowne, one who is the rightful king, draws out Escaflowne and the entire stone becomes the guymelef of power. Which is why, when escaflowne basically hatches from the massive stone, after the magic inside is released, then there are no pieces of the fractured stone left from where it came from. The stone is used as material to form the rest of the guymelef. Both excaliber and Escaflowne shape, and are at the heart of their story. With excaliber, if it is not used rightly, the sword breaks, and with escaflowne, depending upon how it is used, it will break its master. It actually has limitles potential juat as the Excalibur has limitless potential in guiding or destroying.
This brought tears to my eyes. Thank you so much for sharing! And thank you to all who decided to perform these wonderful songs. Some of my fave from Escaflowne! Wow what a blessing to the ears! ❤❤❤
Que pasada. Te entra la emoción en el cuerpo. No se porque no se hacen mas conciertos con este tipo de música. Música de bandas sonoras de películas, de animes y otros géneros.
Escaflowne was my first introduction to Japanese anime mecha’s, then two years after came along Gundam. Yamato Takeru was a different story because I’ve only seen two episodes of it and don’t know much about it but loved the ending song.
i always thought that this piece of art could use somekind of anime version of star wars, imagine kenobi fighting vader on mustafar bringing some flashbacks in the question parts and bringing hell in the answer, would be magnificent and epic aswell, one can only imagine
Perhaps you meant the Dance of the Knights from Romeo and Juliet ballet. Composer - Prokofiev. But still, Yoko Kanno has her own unique style. I don't know how she does it. She is a great composer)
Escaflowne's charm is in its gorgeous hand-drawn cels and intricately animated mechs. Modern remake would be completely pointless and just make it uglier with CG mechs.
