I visited Greece in 2017. Pireus, Heraklion, Rhodes etc. I miss Greece so much, best country,culture and beautiful people. I also miss eating Gyros. Greetings from Brazil! ♥

If you come with a mindset just for having fun, you easily get it. When you realize all the great figures we know from Greek history walked right there, it becomes overwhelming. Then, Greece is the Caribbean of Europe, too, with much better infrastructure. Beaches, mountains, forests, Islands, I really cannot think of anything else one might ask for.
What a gorgeous video! Me and my hubby just got back from a week in Athens and I never wanted to leave ... I could have stayed there for just about forever. Greece is one of the most stunningly beautiful countries I've ever seen in my whole life. It's one of those places that is impossible not to fall in love with. My husband is Greek and he's wanted us to go to Athens together pretty much ever since we got married so we went for our wedding anniversary. Seeing the Acropolis together for the first time ... I don't think I've ever been so happy as I was in that moment. I love Greece and I love the Greek people 💖💖💖
I was stationed in Greece twice while in the USAF. From 1964-1968 and from 1975- 1977. I found the Greek people the best in all of Europe and their country absolutely beautiful. I had hoped I could retire over their but plans often go astray. I still keep in touch with their culture by attending Greek Festivals every year. After 40 years away I can still understand their language and speak it well enough to get by. Go see it for yourself and you will want to return yearly. Visit the Greek islands and read their history. The cradle of civilization still lives and prospers
The Cradle of Civilization is the Middle East. Ancient Greece first developed centuries after Ancient Egypt and Mesopotamia and the Hittites had fallen.
Still is the cradle of Western civilization.... Theatre, democracy , philosophy and science were born in Ancient Greece. Not mention their revolutionary breakthrough in Arts ....

I lived in Thessaloniki for a couple of years. I lived in Greek-Cyprus too. Greeks are quite warm to live with. My love for Greek culture is enormous. All my children bear Greek names (Kassoulides, Vassos, & Spyros ) in memory of my Greek experience. I & my family shall holiday in Crete some day. Bravo to the Hellenic peoples & life-style.
I visited and walked in every place shot in this clip. My favorite place to stay is kolonaki area (solonos street). The morning café at carpos, a walk to monastiraki then head for the acropolis and the museum. Cape sounion.... Everytime i go there, i feel home because the greeks are amazing hosts. Ζήτω η Ελλάς!

@Eliana Ritsoni __ Συμφωνώ. Η Αθήνα σαν πρωτεύουσα, αλλά και με την ιστορία που έχει, θα έπρεπε να είναι από τις καλύτερα διατηρημένες πόλεις της Ευρώπης. Αντί αυτού, είναι η πιο βρώμικη και η πιο άσχημη (εξαρτάται από την περιοχή). Όσο ψηφίζουμε άχρηστους πολιτικούς και δημάρχους και όσο οι κάτοικοι δεν ενδιαφέρονται, δεν πρόκειται ν' αλλάξει κάτι...

Μεγαλωσα στη Θεσσαλονικη και παντα πιστευα οτι εμενα στην πιο ομορφη πολη της Ελλαδας, μεχρι το 2014 που πηγαινοντας για Τριπολη ( για να υπηρετησω ) εκατσα μια μερα στην Αθηνα, δεν μπορω να το περιγραψω αυτο που ενιωσα.. ΤΗΝ ΕΡΩΤΕΥΤΙΚΑ οταν πηρα την πρωτη μου αδεια δεν γυρισα σπιτι εκατσα Αθηνα... Δεν πιστευω να υπαρχει πιο ομορφη πολη στον πλανητη, ειναι ανταξια να εχει το ονομα Θεας.
Δεν το περίμενα από Θεσσαλονικιό 😂 όλοι οι Αθηναίοι λατρεύουν και έχουν ως πιο όμορφη πόλη στην Ελλάδα την Θεσσαλονίκη Δεν ξέρω πάντως συγκινήθηκα δεν αξίζει να υπάρχει αυτή η διαμάχη των δύο πόλεων
Αντίθετα εγω πιστεύω ότι ειναι μια πολύ άσχημη πόλη. Ο ένας πάνω στον άλλο και αρκετά βρώμικη. Μόνο για βόλτα καλή είναι αλλα για να μένεις εκεί, αστο!!! Εκεί είναι η πραγματική ζούγκλα, και οχι δεν ειμαι σαλονικιος
Εμένα πάλι δεν μου αρέσει καμία από τις δύο, και οι δύο βρώμικες με άσχημα κτίρια Αν μου έλεγαν όμως να διαλέξω σε ποια να μείνω θα επέλεγα Αθήνα. Επειδή δεν έχει τόσα ψηλά κτίρια όσο η Θεσσαλονίκη και έχει και την Πλάκα Συν τα προάστια που είναι πιο περιποιημένα και καθαρά

Update - last week I returned from my Greek vacation (Athens, Santorini, Mykonos, Meteora, and Thessaloniki). Fascinating history, breathtaking sceneries, friendly locals, and food is among the BEST I've tasted in Europe!!!
