Hi. I’m now in Japan. Just to tell you guys to do the both QR before the flight. It’s so easy when you arrive Japan. Because of this method, i got skip many people in Q(who do it manually). So be smart like me and thanks to this channel. 😊

@@sanjabago4180 there's no restriction for that. as long as you have everything confirmed, you can do those. but people with earlier arrival date are prioritized. a week before your departure date would be fine.

Thank you so much for the heads up on all this. Looks like the tax-free QR code isn't really worth the effort just yet. Having it expire every 24 hours is frustrating. Technically, all foreign nationals are supposed to have their passports on them at all times anyway, so it's just easier to do that.

The Tax QR code is a daily code, because there's a purchase limit of ¥500,000 per day, for a foreign visitor to claim tax free status with.

Thank you so much!🙏 yes you're right, from Jan 2024 the process has been improved. now there's only 1 QR code for both immigration and custom.

This video (and the previous one with the same topic) were extremely helpful. One thing that could be mentioned is that you need the "Disembarkation Card for Foreigner" completed before you arrive (which seemed strange to me).

Very helpful video, but I find the website difficult. We are just transiting for 6 hours, so I picked Tourism. We can’t go to the next step until we provide a hotel accommodation info. Since we’re going to Shibuya, so I just pick a random hotel, got the address and phone number, even though we don’t actually have any booking. I hope this is not a problem when we travel this September.

I have a few questions and I’d appreciate if you answer to those that you know ❤️ 1-So i have to do this after getting the Japanese visa? Or before that? 2-if you are traveling with a group of friends do you need a cover letter to mention their names? During the process of applying for the visa. 3-is it a easier visa then Schengen to get?

hi, unfortunately i'm not sure about the visa application... but for this procedure, you do it after you get your Japan visa and flight ticket. you can do this procedure before you get on your flight to Japan.

Thank you for your video. I'm starting my registration. Under the number of days in Japan, I will be there for 4 nights and then will boards a cruise ship in Yokohama that will go to several Japan ports for 12 nights. Once back in Yokohama, I will fly home. Do I put down the 4 nights or do I include the 12 nights on the ship? Thanks

Please I would like to ask a question. On the consulate website it says: "(Note: It will be necessary to present the “Visa issuance notice” at the airport, logging in to the JAPAN eVISA website through your mobile device. Data submission in PDF, screen capture or printed material will not be valid)" Do you know if at Narita airport I will have access to the internet as soon as I get off the plane? Thanks.

I think I found the information I needed. On the consulate website it says: "Q19: I don’t have any mobile device which I can display “Visa issue notice” at the airport. A19: You may be requested to show the “Visa issue notice” on your device at the departure airport. A printed-out document or a screenshot is not accepted. So, if you do not have such a device, please apply for a visa at the Japanese overseas establishment with jurisdiction over the region where you are living."

yes, wifi is available as soon as you get off the plane. but it's recommended that you take a screenshot of required docs.

you only need to do these procedures when entering Japan. so there's no need to do for return flight.

hi, currently foreigners go through manned booths for immigration and un-manned booths for customs (unless you have goods to declare at customs). you will get that stamp at the immigration booth. make sure you check your passport at the immigration booth.

@@katlautin1 At Custom check, both Japanese and visitors use self check out gates with QR coded now. At Immigration, for now, visitors still go through manned booths but even, registering online before hand will help fasten the checking process.

hi, they've improved the process. now there's only 1 QR code for both immigration and custom. at immigration, you just show the QR code to the officer there.

When I did mine the enter passport information yourself was not and option and I had a hard time getting it to accept the photo of my passport using the Safari browser. I switched to the Chrome browser and it finally accepted it.

One more tip for anyone who’s reading. I used the safari app on my IPad and it kept saying my surrounding was not bright enough even though I had lights on. To solve this issue, it’s good to have a flashlight or another person with a flashlight on standby when you’re scanning the passport [just focus the flashlight on the page you’re scanning]. I tried it and immediately got through😊

You can include your spouse. I registered an account and added my wife and 2 kids for our trip a couple of months ago. You will be able to show the QR codes of each family member on the app.

Hi, there will be a QR code for each individual registered. E.g: if you register you and your travelling partner , you will each have a unique QR code, just remember to switch the names at the top of the webpage. Hope this helps, cheers!

Please be informed that Visit Japan Web services is not Mandatory. Is the use of Visit Japan Web mandatory for immigration procedures? Not required. Traditional paper-based procedures are now available for Immigration and Customs Declaration.

In ANY case it's illegal to didn't bring your passport with you if you are a foreigner in japan, everywhere you go. So better have it if you don't want problem with the policeman.
