Sungei Wang first opened in 1977. However, the first Mall in Kuala Lumpur was Ampang Park operating in March 1973.. But it had to be demolished for the underground MRT route. Sungei was the old spelling for river, the current spelling is Sungai. Wang is money. Also called Duit, both have the same meaning. But the majority of Malays prefer to use the word Duit. Example sentence, "Awak ada duit?" (Do you have money? " While Wang is always used by Chinese, Indians, Local Portuguese, Baba & Nyonya (mix Chinese/local race in Melaka, Penang and Singapore when speaking Malay. Example sentence, "Awak ada wang?" (Do you have money? ). Both have the same meaning. It doesn't matter anyway. In Malaysia, even speaking English, most people understand it. Except for French, many do not understand.😬
I just watched your video. your content is really amazing but SEO score is very low and you didn't do social media marketing for your video it's very important to have a viral video

@@the.yellow.princess It's a good 'ol shopping mall has through a lot of transformations. Lot of shops are new... only the music store is the OG shop that I used to visit. So much memory there.
@@the.yellow.princess I remembered vividly when I reached there once upon a time, one rice stall had 100 dishes to choose to add to the plate of rice. I was so shocked.
