Let's get to know the FDNSC Sisters better, through their presence in Nitra-Slovakia.The foundation members of this community were Sr Evelyne Roman from the French Province and Sr Rotee Uriam and Sr Mary Etuare from the Kiribati Province. They left Rome on the 19th March 2002 to begin their new mission. After some days of orientation at the Retreat Centre, the sisters spent 6 months with the Sisters of the Holy Spirit in order to learn the Slovak language and culture. On the 8th September, Fr. Andreas Steiner, the MSC Provincial, entrusted the management of the Sacred Heart Retreat Centre to the sisters. They are responsible for the management of the Center, especially in terms of cleaning, preparation of rooms and food, welcoming groups and collection of fees. Various groups, including MSC Partners, come for various activities that can last for three days, a week or a month. Thank you to the Province of Kiribati for sending sisters to serve missions in Eastern Europe, especially in Slovakia. Despite the obstacles, the sisters persevered and faithfully spread the love of the Sacred Heart of Jesus to all the people they serve in their own joyful and simple way. Thank you to the MSC of the South German and Austrian Province for inviting and entrusting this mission to FDNSC. Thank you for your spiritual care and financial support for our sisters. Thank you for the living testimony of the MSC, SSpS and FDNSC which has shown a beautiful collaboration.
