Hello all. I just wanted to take a moment to thank you all for commenting and subscribing. I had no idea this video would be so popular. I have been reading your comments and while I can't respond to all of them I do appreciate ALL the comments. Not only am I still blown away by the temple and the grounds, but I am equally blown away by all of you commenting with kind words and a lot of interesting information. All I can say is, "Wow." We look forward to going back later this year to see the temple and the grounds at sunset and then with lights. Once again thank you all! Much Love, Jenn
Hindu is a Greek term as they can't pronounce S in Greek correctly. We are Sanatanis . Would like to recommend you a movie Bahubali 1&2 when you have time to kill ,it's available on RU-vid with English Subtitles.Check out the reaction channels getting 50 k-1 million views on same movie And it doesn't cost a penny playing movie on RU-vid.India got free internet and most eyeballs in any country on this planet.Good luck
To the people saying only truth is wrong . I would like to say please read first the scriptures I know people of Indian origins don't have read the basic scriptures of Sanatan Dharma 🕉️ . During that age there was no concept of religion before and everyone was Hindu by culturally and it Santana Dharma is a lifestyle please educate yourself and it is the only truth others so called religions are man made so called ideologies created for personal gains. I would agian say that Sanatan Dharma philosophy is the ultimate and the only truth if you won to attain moksha and stop these repeating lifecycles 🕉️☝🙏

You will never find any Hindu or priest trying to convert anybody , there is no concept of conversion in Hinduism . You are free to visit any temple , and you will find peace in your heart . Temple is a perfect place for meditation.
We should - the conversion religions are very aggressive, using money to convert the poor and in small villages, they start harassing the unconverted - they count who is attending church and who is not and start hating, discriminating against those who still remain Hindu The western media knows this and keeps quiet The Hindu media seems too afraid to speak up - and we are the MAJORITY!
Firstly it's not Hinduism, it's Sanatana Dharma, the eternal duties of all living and unliving beings. Secondly, it's not a Religion too, it's has no fixed rules, but has experience of life.
All respects to you . Hinduism is not a religion . It's ' way of life ' all things living . That's why there's no conversion to Hinduism. You born an Hindu " you living " then you convert to whatever you want . Christianity, Islam and Judism . If there's no conversation and follow the strict " way of life " like we do ,then we Hindus . For Hindus , Lord Shiva is Supreme. If you have time . Look up Mount Khailash .
You know what was I thinking? Did you see temples like Belur/Halebidu, Somanath, Somanathpura etc? The lady is saying with awe "this is impressive". IMO this exactly is what I S L A M I C invaders would have seen when they have attacked our temples. They've destroyed our culture. You have no idea how immensely sad it makes me.
I never knew this existed in NJ and I was looking for somewhere to take my mom for mothers day without spending a ton of money. So I reserved to visit this Saturday. I can't wait to check it out and my mom loves Hindu stuff.
@@ShivamSharma-rr6tr She loved the surprise and couldn't believe something like that existed in NJ. We had an amazing time and loved learning about the history and culture the place had to offer. I felt all my negative feelings and emotions in life exit my body while I was standing in the temple and felt relaxed and at peace the entire time I was on the campus. Absolutely loved the experience. I brought home a T-Shirt with the quote in the joy of others lies our own. That really stood out to me while I was there.
Lots of love from Singapore ❤ I am overwhelmed with Hinduism and their incredible history…. and the advancement they have achieved when humanity struggles for living
@@YetkhaPakoAson It is nagara architecture man. It was followed in a lot of northern states. Not lot such ancient temples are left becuse the messengers of "peace" ravaged all the temples of the north. I am happy that whatever cult is building, they are reviving the lost glory of Nagara temples. Some 1000 years down the lane we may have old and grandiose and ancient nagara temples along with even older dravida temples
Love Hinduism/Sanatan culture . And I am an ardent follower now of sanatan dharma. In modern world of fake propaganda, violence, social media mental health epidemic Santana teaches us to be love and respect everyone , everything humans, animals , plants ….. Hinduism is a way of life you can be atheist,Christian, Muslim, Jew and still be sanatani; No one tries to convert or markets you to follow Hinduism only if your heart tells you to do .
That's right. We don't call people believers. We call them seekers. People seeking knowledge and answers to questions like what is the purpose of life, what is the relationship between human and god and how to live. Nobody needs to convert to seek knowledge
Unlike them , it asks to ask questions about god , Seek her . The scriptures get from complex to simple (story ones) teaching righouteousness to common folk and thus leading to complex spirituality Anti hindus find mistakes in the stories , Never in true vedas and upanishads (upanishads are difficult for even a born hindu who understands Hindi and to some extent sanskrit )
In Hindu Temples, the outside are always more magnificient and splendor. It depicts the materialistic aspect of life we always keep entangled in it. As you start moving inside to the main deity area, things will start geeting more sober and gentler, depicting the spiritual aspect of life and signifies that in order to find true happiness, peace and joy, you need to move from materialism towards spiritualism.
This is very far from reality bro. Americans and other westerners pretend to be open-minded but they are actually very conservative and bigoted against hinduism. There were lots of protests by them before the construction of this temple.
Glad u loved it ,this one is built in 21st century Some temples bigger and more magnificent than this , Yes more with even gold plating and whole temple even deatils of chains hanging from one single stone whole temple . (Search kailash temple ) , It's black now cause Muslim invaders destroyed it but it's whole made from one single piece of mountain interior and everything cut from a rock and that too almost 2000 years ago . With no machinery . One temple somnath had leviating idol (it had magnets arranged in roof such way ) that too was over 3000 years old
These carvings were done in India and then transferred there. And India is full of similar artistic Temples and this one is so beautiful. Thanks for sharing.
This is the Nagara style of architecture which was prominent in medieval north India. There are not many nagara temples of such scale left in India, because Muslim occupation in the north ravaged almost all of them. I'm happy seeing Nagara temples getting revived. Recently a ram temple was also built in Ayodhya. The consciousness of destruction still lives in folklore and is recently mainstreamed which will lead to the construction of a lot many temples. The other major style is the Dravida of South India. We still have 1000 of years old Dravida temples and they are breathtaking. In Dravida temples, the gopuram, or the outermost tower is mostly the tallest structure whereas in Nagara the main shikhar beneath which the main deity is , is the tallest. Hope south Indians also build neo-Dravidian temples. North is building quite a few
Dravidian? What south has todo with it? We all aren’t DMK, that word itself didn’t exist when those temples were built, they were built based on agama satras, if at all you wanna give a name, name this style after the legendary Viswakarma
@@Okayonce Do not spread fake information. British built many beautiful churches, but never ruined anything. In fact some of the ancient sites were discovered and protected by explorers. Are you muslim trying to shift blame?
@@activelistener4484 Brit’s created the biggest mass famine, emoting to 2 million deaths. What did Mughals do? Oh make your country the richest country in the world. How pathetic, we european historians laugh at you pajeets
It's like walking into ancient India, the amount of time taken to carve all of that, amazing. As an Indian I feel proud to see a beautiful temple so big in the US,even though I am Christian,I love Hinduism, the oldest religion in the world, grew up reading these wonderful mystical stories,of Gods and Godess Hanuman etc.Just wow.😍
Hindi architecture is simply otherworldly! If I ever had to imagine what a civilization on another planet would build, I would prefer it to look exactly like this.
Actually including Onion and garlic is individual choice. I'm a vegetarian i eat onion and garlic and the people who don't usually eat these are a sect of Hinduism, now categorised as a different religion is called "Jainism".
Imagine how the ancient tempIes were built, from a single stone like Kailasa and one chisel, the little details like the smoothness is very important, yet have the detailing and geometry down to perfection and requires pure passion.
@@emotionalIntelligence2078 That's great. And legal immigrants in return work for America while enriching the overall culture. Long live universalism. And it also entails fighting parochialism
You don’t need to thank anyone. USA is not like Islamic countries. USA is like India. Every person is free to practice their faith. India has more churches compared to the many temples in US.

This place is a heaven for artists, sculpture all over. When you are there, you have to look in all directions, something to see everywhere. When inside, don't forget to look at the ceilings, magnificently sculpted, and the floor has variuos patterns of inlaid marble.👍
Yes! I looked up so much my neck started hurting. Lol Floors were really cool. Just everything. So true that everywhere you look there's something to see. We plan on going back hopefully in the fall.
Mam, don't worry about names. There are many biblical names which I can't pronounce. It's normal. You got it right regarding name of golden statue," Neel-kanth". "Nth" is hard for non indian to pronounce
America is so open and curious about cultures that are alien to it. I thought it's only possible in countries like india which has lot of cultures but i am happy to be wrong. It's really nice to see people who are open minded and respectful to different cultures.
Hinduism is the Life of Our All Journey , Who we are , How we Live & Help Others , Yoga , Meditation everything reflects on our Life to connect God .......
Beautiful place. Safron by weight was more expensive than gold, gold prices gone up since several years. Safron flavor in puddings, shakes like drinks tastes good. Safron flowers are very light, slender, hand picked, very expensive.
The treats badly need tea or coffee to compliment em. My suggestion, Darjeeling tea or Mysore Gold Coffee. Great excursion by the way. The intrinsic carvings, the gardens and mind blowing Indian architecture insanely spectacular. Akshardam in New Jersey, who could have imagine it! Wow indeed. ❤from Malaysia.
After spending a week in NJ struggling to find the food I love (South Indian/Gujarati Vegetarian) the Shanoya restaurant in this temple felt like heaven. I just couldn't stop myself from ordering 😂.
Thank you for sharing this on RU-vid. I'm from India. I will visit USA someday, till then this video is my only source of witnessing that beautiful temple
Jai Swaminarayan. Thank you so much for visiting and doing amazing blogging on the temple. I hope you had a great time. And I am sorry for any inconvenience you had during the visit of Akshardham.
I am really happy you enjoyed! love from India. Hinduism is an interesting way of life, and most importantly, it is open to reforming itself to suit modern society.
You should visit kailash temple in India... It was build by cutting a giant rock Hill from upside down... How they removed 150 tonns of stones every day from carving is mystery... Also visit padmanav swamy temple ... It has trillion dollar of gold... All the other temples have been looted either by muslim invaders or british... Yet somehow it survived....
You guys have the cutest smiles and very open hearts and minds. God bless, and thanks, because though I am in India I got to see the temple through your video. And btw that flaky golden chick pea sweet is Sohn Papdi, I guarrentee you, it is delicious. My childhood memories are of gorging down those melt in the mouth sweets with my big bro. Again God bless you guys for showing us the temple and grounds in such great details.
The Abrahamic debated till recent times on whether women have souls, The Hindu religion considers feminine as divine and honors the fecund nature of feminine divine. There have been many women seers of Vedas & Upanishads
hi ! the golden stops on the map of his journey is also popular pilgrims places in India. most Hindus try to visit these places on their lives because these places have thousands of years of history and its historical temples. north, west,south,east.. he started from North and he settled at west in state called Gujarat Loj and spread his teachings to Gujrat and he also died there . His known as Bhagvaan Swaminarayan. and his others names are NilKanth, Sahajanaj Swami, Hari Krishna Maharaj, Akshar Purshotam . he told his two brothers sons to pass his teachings, build templs and make sadhus called saints . and after years some Saints separated from them and some of brances were created from his sadhus and this branch is called BAPs and founder was Sadhu (saint and first Guru) Sashtriji Maharaj - our guru who build first temple in Bochasan -Gujarat so this temple called Bochasan Akshar Purshotam Swaminarayan Sanstha in Short BAPS Akshar Dhaam temple. there are Also BAPS temple in London, Chicago, Texas, Los Angeles, Georgia , Toronto, these are carved temples and small temples are spread all over the world.
When people from the west don’t visit India and think India is just snake charmers and Taj Mahal and Gandhi. Then it’s time 1/ millionth of the India Hindu heritage comes to them in USA. Welcome to India to see millions such temples, forts and architecture copied by all scientists mathematicians around the world 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
When world asks for logic & science of life, existence & universe they always find answers in Hinduism, But afterwards they don't stick to it because they found answers, but they don't know what they're Missing ahead of it. 🙏🏻
If anybody ever get a chance visit this amazing temple! I was blown away by the workmanship, detail and architecture! This is become one of the most famous places in US in the future. It’s an hour and half drive (no traffic) from NYC.
Great to see this. Sanatani's aka Hindus/Buddhists/Jains all emerged from Bharat (India), the sad thing is NOT A SINGLE ANCIENT Hindu/Jain/Buddhist temple from Afghanistan/Pakistan & Northern India today stands, all of em were destroyed by !slamist Invaders , the result is our lands were completely taken over by them. But we still STAND TODAY!! JAI SHREE RAM.
Your efforts at making this vlog is highly appreciated. The yogi Neelkant was a teenager when he travelled the length and breadth of India sometime in 1800s.
It's remarkable to acknowledge the resilience of Sanatanis, encompassing Hindus, Buddhists, and Jains, who trace their roots back to Bharat (India). However, it's disheartening to note that not a single **ancient** Hindu, Jain, or Buddhist temple remains standing in Afghanistan, Pakistan, and Northern India today. The destruction of these sacred sites by Islamist invaders throughout history has left a profound impact. Despite such adversities, the spirit of our people endures. Jai Shree Ram.
