This brought me back to a few years back when I studied abroad and visited Cinque Terre - we actually ate dinner at the EXACT same table as you guys did so that was so cool to see!
You just gotta love the weather in Italy. From sunny, to rainy, to sunny again. We live in Calabria. This past week has been crazy with the weather. Thanks for showing Cinque Terre. It is absolutely gorgeous. We are glad we found your channel. Ciao.
Great video and nice edit! I'll be going to Cinque Terre in 2 weeks so i hope the trail in Vernazza will be open by then lol. But keep up the good work!
Thank you! Yeah hopefully it will be open for you. From what we hear the trails close a lot, so if you are planning a big hike, be sure to check before hand.
Thanks, We get that comment a lot about us not being "Awkward" like the name suggests. It was a nic-name Kelly picked up years ago, and we have gone with it ever since!
Doing 5 terre in one day is really a tour de force but … I understand it can be the occasion of a life for american tourists.. :-) My suggestion is to do Riomaggiore , Vernazza , Monterosso…
Wow amazing video of Cinque Terre👏🏼👍🏼😍. By the way how many days did you see the 5 villages? Did you do it in one day or divide the 5 villages into two or three days activity?
So we stayed 3 nights in Riomaggiore. The first day we arrive late and only walked around town for about an hour before dark. The second day it rained all day long so we did not venture out much. The third and final day it was beautiful weather so we took the train to all 5 towns. It is totally doable to visit all 5 towns in one day, as the towns aren't very big, but we liked that we stayed a few more and were able to check out some more restaurants and things
@@TheAwkwardTourists Thank you for your reply. I have another question ? Do we have to pre booked restaurants? Does all the villages accept card payment? Or only cash. Is food expensive ? Thank you in advance for your reply x.
This is a great video! Thanks so much for sharing! We will be taking the train in from Florence for the day. What time of the day did you start out on your day trip? Trying to determine how many hours we will need approximately. TIA
Thanks! We stay in Riomaggiore and were able to visit all the towns in about 6 hours, So I would factor the train time from Florence to Riomaggiore and add on another 6 hours or so
Is it recommended to visit all 5 towns or better to stay in where my Airbnb is? Planning to stay in Manarola. We will do Rome/ Florence and then Manarola, wasn’t sure how many days in Manarola. Any suggestions will be appreciated. :)
Depends on how much time you have. We stayed in Riomaggiore for three nights and spent one of the days taking the train to all the other towns. Each one has a different charm but we were kind of rushed seeing everything. Manorola is really beautiful
This was pretty tricky. To my understanding you need to apply for two different licenses to fly in Cinque Terre. I filled out an application with The Cinque Terre National Park and ENAC (l'Ente Nazionale per l'Aviazione Civile). I applied for both, but I never heard back from my applications so I'm not actually sure If I was allowed to fly or not. I know in Major cities it is really difficult to fly as well as the rule is that you are not supposed to fly over people or buildings. Cinque Terre Itself is a national park, so that made things a little more complicated here as well
Lovely video! Did you have any issues flying your drone? Or did you have to get any permissions or register it before your went? Going next weekend and hoping to take my drone too
Flying drones in Cinque Terre isn't very easy. I had to apply for some permits through The Cinque Terre National Park to get permission. When I flew however, no one bothered me. I tried my best to be discreet though
Hi guys !!! Greertings from rodando con budha !! I went there before now I want to bring my wife ;-) , how is everything moving there now ? Is all opened ? Thank you much !! Pura vida !!
We did all of the towns in one day, It was a lot but it is doable. Our Favorites were Riomaggiore, Manarola, and Vernazza, So I would plan to spend more time there if you can, but each town has it's own charm, just beware of the hike to Corneglia!
