Join us, as we take the train down to the coast and visit Ventimiglia, Italy. There are so many beautiful parts to see in this town on the Italian Riviera.
It's lovely! In general, we prefer the seaside towns on the Italian side of the border (Ventimiglia, Bordighera, San Remo, Albenga), to the French side (Nice, Antibes, Cannes). The sea is just as beautiful on the Italian Riviera, but there are fewer people, and it's less stressful.
@@vitorbarradas7430 I'd say, generally, yes. There are a few areas where migrants gather (eg.outside the station), but there are always a lot of police keeping an eye on things, and I've never seen any trouble.
I was Ventimiglia and I called it a wasteland, there's nothing to do there other than shop at Farmers Market, drink coffee, and look at old run down buildings. The beach is a rock graveyard, not even pleasant rocks, better walk the beach with hiking boots. There's abandoned junk around the shoreline. 80% of the people there are over the age of 50. I'd skip this place next time. Thank you for your video, I appreciate your attempt at making that city seem like a desirable place, but it's really not.
Ventimiglia doesn't have the best of reputations but I wanted to show that, despite its problems, there are plenty of attractive parts that visitors might miss. The main street isn't one of them, however and, as you say, parts of the beach are a bit of a mess. Objectively, Bordighera, which is further along the coast, is a prettier town, but I think that the lesser-known parts of Ventimiglia are well worth visiting.

I think so...😉 But my family want to go there (from Nice now) to eat the best tiramisu 🙄 I have to go today...but I would better go to EZE (France) again. Yesterday we were there and it is so pretty village and the exotic garden on the top! Also nice walk down the hill to the beach...🤩
You're right, Eze is really beautiful! Where do you go in Ventimiglia for the best tiramisu?? If you ever go to Bordighera and fancy ice cream, I strongly recommend "Voglia de Gelato", on the main road. I have eaten a lot of fantastic ice cream, in different parts of Italy, but Voglia de Gelato has the best ice cream I have ever eaten IN MY LIFE!!! 😋😋😋
