Good video, I was visiting there 3 weeks ago, I stayed in San Benito neighborhood, one day i decided to drive to suchitoto with a friend, we got lost at some point and ended up in soyapango late night, to be honest it wasn't bad at all, I didn't see anything dangerous and people were pretty nice and helpful.
Thanks for sharing your experience, Chris! Here is the thing, from my understanding from conversations with locals, El Salvador is very different from the past. Of course there are dangerous areas still, but that happens anywhere in the world. Personally, I'd still be very careful going there, especially at night, but the same applies to some areas of Miami, Boca Raton, Orlando, Jacksonville, Rome (Italy), etc..

Great video, it is said there are also some beautiful places to live in Antiguo Cuscatlan and in Nuevo Cuscatlan too, really safe and exclusive but I am not that sure, Have you heard of it?. Maybe it could be helpful. El Salvador has it all once you start exploring and investigating ❤️ it is a small country but you find everything so to speak ❤️
Dude you just throwed Soyapango and Illopango under the buss. Ouch! Every city in the world has sketchy areas, and also some non touristy areas have nice and interesting things to see. Best advice will be go out and explore, if you can find some of the locals to go with you will be best. Take care and best wishes for you, Have a Kolashampan and pupusas for me.
