Hello everyone, this time Jozmaye Travel Diary invites you to visit my in-laws' house for a meal together. This time, I made fried fish for them to taste. Fried fish is my favorite dish, as I really enjoy eating fish. Consuming fish, especially fatty fish rich in omega-3, is beneficial for emotional well-being.
Here's my simple recipe:
Crispy Fried Fish Recipe à la Jozmaye Travel Diary
Ingredients:
Fish fillet (choose your preferred fish; here, I chose Barramundi)
1 lemon
Salt and black and white pepper to taste
Turmeric powder (optional, for color and flavor)
2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
2 tablespoons rice flour (for crispiness)
1 tablespoon Olive oil
Cooking oil for frying
Method:
Clean the fish fillet and pat it dry with a kitchen towel.
Mix all the seasonings with olive oil and marinate the fish, letting it sit for 1-2 hours.
In a separate bowl, mix all-purpose flour and rice flour (if used).
Roll the seasoned fish in the flour mixture until the entire surface is evenly coated.
Heat oil in a pan over medium heat.
Fry the fish until both sides turn golden brown and the fish is fully cooked inside.
Remove the fish and drain excess oil using a kitchen towel; it's ready to be served.
For the topping, I add slices of green onions, cilantro, red chili, and radish mixed with a dipping sauce, which is a combination of red wine vinegar and fish sauce (the dipping sauce is a matter of personal taste).
