Oh no! A museum! So, that's when you go in with money and leave with no money and some cool toys/food. 🤣I was born in 83 and there is quite a bit that I see from my childhood here. I remember Boomboxes, Walkmans and all the crazy cool games and things that came all the way from Japan. My Aunt was stationed in Japan with the Marines in the 90's and she would send me huge care packages full of candys, toys, origami kits and all kinds of things. One day I'd love to visit.

The games seemed like a good deal and time for the money! However the food vending machines seemed very costly $$$ the first machine you tried was the vintage coke machine and was $1.4 and almost didn't get it. The other video where the tire place was it was only.70 cents! Very costly outing.
@Kat-fw9se
@Kat-fw9se Год назад
That look like a lot of fun! I take it itadakimasu means time to eat?
@experience_japan
@experience_japan Год назад
The Japanese phrase "itadakimasu" is said before starting a meal. It translates to something like, "I gratefully receive", indicating an appreciation for the meal about to be consumed. It signifies respect and gratitude towards the food and all the processes and work involved in creating the meal. While there isn't an exact English equivalent, phrases like "Let's eat" or "Bon appetit" might be the closest. However, these don't fully capture the depth of gratitude and respect that "itadakimasu" conveys.

Did they have the vintage game "Bomb the Harbor," where you are a kamikaze and your task is to fly your plane into an american ship at pearl harbor? The fist stage was dropping bombs on the americans and as the game progressed and your plane was hit, the goal was to sacrifice by flying into a ship or a group of american sailors. That game was a favorite for a long time.📡🛩🦖

hey I am curious to know this, how did you manage to take video while driving
@CammyWINS
@CammyWINS 7 месяцев назад
Since you’re driving, I have a question for you. How good or bad is quality of roads in Japan? For example, in America we have mostly decent highways, but cities have absolutely horrible roads, often with cheap patched over potholes. NYC is God awful to drive on or take a taxi - you feel a like a load of bricks in the vehicle, rattling all over the place. When I lived in Ukraine, all roads were in awful condition, regardless where you were. How is it in Japan?
@experience_japan
@experience_japan 7 месяцев назад
Japan's road quality is generally very good. Highways and major roads are well-maintained, and potholes are rare. City roads are also in good condition, with regular maintenance and prompt repairs when needed. Driving in Japan offers a smooth experience compared to many other places.

Retro and Vintage are two different meanings and cannot be used interchangeably as they mean totally different things. Vintage means of a certain age, these vending machines are vintage. Retro means a MODERN machine that has been made to LOOK old. So you could have a retro radio with modern electronics inside but outside looks like a vintage radio. Vintage = Old Retro = Modern made to look old.

Seeing those arcade machines makes me feel nostalgic 😊. In my country they used to be common in public places like in social clubs, restaurants and hotel games rooms. I remember going as a kid to a social club's games room with my cousin just to play Metal Slug or King of Fighters. Back then in the 90s SNK and Capcom were dominant in the arcade business . Unfortunately by the late 2000s these arcade machines started to fade away.
