Join us on our last location of our 14 day trip to Guatemala: Playa El Pardon in beautiful Guatemala.
Playa El Paredón is a beautiful and relatively undiscovered beach located on the Pacific coast of Guatemala. It is known for its stunning black sand beaches, surf-friendly waves, and laid-back atmosphere. The area is a popular destination for both surfers and travelers looking to relax away from more crowded tourist spots.
Key Features of Playa El Paredón:
Surfing: El Paredón is one of the best surfing spots in Guatemala. The beach offers consistent waves, making it ideal for both beginners and experienced surfers. Several surf schools and rental shops are available in the area.
Natural Beauty: The black volcanic sand and lush mangrove forests create a unique and picturesque landscape. The sunsets here are particularly stunning, with vibrant colors reflecting off the dark sand.
Eco-Friendly Tourism: Many of the accommodations in El Paredón focus on sustainability and eco-friendliness. You'll find a range of options from budget-friendly hostels to more upscale eco-lodges, often built with local materials and featuring environmentally conscious practices.
Local Culture: The nearby village of El Paredón retains a traditional Guatemalan charm, with friendly locals, small eateries, and local artisans. Visitors can experience authentic Guatemalan culture and cuisine.
Activities: Besides surfing, visitors can enjoy activities like paddleboarding, boat tours through the mangroves, turtle watching (seasonal), and yoga classes. The relaxed vibe makes it a perfect spot for unwinding.
El Paredón is becoming increasingly popular, but it still maintains a tranquil, off-the-beaten-path feel compared to other beach destinations in Central America.
Welcome to our channel. This is a family of 4 from Miami Fl, who loves to travel the world and do things a little bit different. We like exploring on our own terms, trying local foods and emerging with different cultures.

@@Travelingwiththerecios it is just matter of knowing how to swim in the middle of the waves. Swimming on the shores is a mistake because the current is strong and you get a lot of sand inside the swimming suit, very uncomfortable, but if you swim where the waves are higher, it is milder, just got to know how to swim the waves, it is a lot of fun. If you dont wanna ride a wave, just dive to the bottom of the wave and the wave goes over you, but doesnt move you at all. If you wanna ride the wave, just swim toward the wave, you got to have the timing to reach to the top of the wave, if you are late, it can fold you around, kind of dangerous. Once the alfaque suck me into the bottom, it drag me like 5 meters to the bottom, until I got to the sand, the same tornado pushed me out to the side. It is just matter of practice and not paniking. It is a lot of fun. I spended 4 to five hours riding waves until i got hungry, got out to eat lunch and go back again.
