@@bargh70 I was in Lebanon for the first time over the summer. I saw people picking food out of garbage to eat. I cried, I tried helping. But there is only so much you can do, only large organizations with the resources can make a large difference. I appreciate the youtuber to bring light to the issue, it helps a lot more.

This is brutal

It might sound weird, but these desperate people have so much energy to live, so much power (such as the boy at the beginning) -- they make you cry but at the same time they make you strong. It's only at those places where you learn real humanity. What you see in the news at home is usually *just* the cruelty. What you don't see in the news are people who just cope with these conditions, making them do everything they can to turn this world into a more peaceful place. And you need folks such as Indigo Traveller to actually reveal these people. Travelling can be a good thing if you do it right and if you have an open eye and the will to see how things really are.

Welcome to you and your family. I'm so glad you made it to Canada. Over the past few years I can see a change at my dog's favorite park. So many Syrian families have relocated around my neighbourhood and as we walk around, we'll see the women sitting together while the children play near by. The older boys will be chasing a soccer ball while the husbands and fathers will be sitting leisurely off in the distance, but not too far away. Sometimes my dog will catch some of the kids attention and I will get a chance to talk with them. They are always afraid of her and no one has touched her yet but one day they will. My husband of 30 years fled Iran during their war with Iraq. He came alone and there was no community here for him at that time. So when I walk around my neighbourhood park, I am so grateful for the new families who have found community in a foreign land. All the best to you.👋

Why didn't you go to Kurdistan? Cos Canada has higher living standards I bet. It's not like you went to Mexico either, but one of the top places on this earth. Funny "coincidence" it often goes this way with over 300 countries out there it just has to be one of the top 10 richest ones. You'd be a fool to pick Mexico I know. But doesn't mean it's right, cos your parents didn't contribute anything into the Canada's welfare system by paying taxes into it, yet end up using it, it means the country suffers economically. Maybe you were one of those who found a steady job even, but that doesn't go for majority, so generally speaking that's how it is. It means there's lesser money left for the born Canadians whose family has contributed into their pension and welfare system.

That's not exactly true!! You become part of the environment of where you are. You could argue life is already too short therefore you should be entitled to live it how you please. @@paulkenneally789 Well some refugees deserve some hate cos they turn to a path of crime and can't let go of their past when in a new country. We don't need no morning singing call to come to the mosque here in the west. These archaic religions belong in the past millennia.

@@seannyporter9058 Kuwait hosted over half a million Palestinian refugees since th 1980s and there are hundreds of thousands of Lebanese and Syrians living there There was massive campaigns that donated millions of dollars worth of food and clothes to the Syrian refugees as well. I remember seeing huge trucks daily on the Kuwaiti highways that had a big banner on them saying "for Syria" and people would just donate what ever they had. There was also a mega 30 million dollars campaign raised by a charity organisation for the Syrian refugees along with countless others and the people here were heavily supportive towards their situation

@@tom4711 Absolutely. In both countries where I’m from (The Netherlands and Turkey) they can be very unkind and prejudicial towards refugees. Mostly Syrian refugees. It breaks my heart. Let’s pray for a better world.
