It's called "Halqa" literally means "the circle" and yes they are performers of all sorts, could be poetry, story tellers, musicians, acrobatics...etc

7:35 Just a brief highlight on a couple of words you guys use: 'Bneen' (Delicious) and 'Zween' (Beautiful). The first letters B and Z in 'Bneen' and 'Zween' are silent letters, means to be pronounced with no vowels in between. 9:26 The fish is transported from Agadir within couple of hours, I lived there as a student 30 years ago. I remember tourists were a lot more on the streets.. The city looks somehow empty and older.

The Kids are so so smart well educated and so polite I love that of course because of their parents well educated and giving their kids the chance to explore the world and Morocco is the best destination for them to learn the principles of respect hospitality and tolerance. The origins of the halqa can be traced back to the 11th century when Marrakesh was founded, with the square serving as a major marketplace and gathering place. Over time, it evolved into a hub for various forms of popular entertainment and oral traditions. Traditional Moroccan music is a key component of the halqa performances, with artists playing instruments like the guembri, flute, violin, and tambourine, and singing poetic verses called zajal. These musical styles represent the diverse cultural heritage of different regions of Morocco.

Taroudant was very popular place with celebrities jack Chirac was his favourite holidays resort princes sara Ferguson visited is a beautiful VIP hotel called la gazelle d,e ore ( the golden gazelle) try to see if you pay a visit there is lovely place is nice fish restaurant when you pass the arches On your right side not far it was nice place taroudant gone down hill after the earthquake have nice stay 🙏👋
