visiting the Amer fort in Jaipur - a dream come true for my mom

During my mom's first days in India, I wanted to show her all that Jaipur had to offer. We do not have such magnificent forts in Finland as we see in Rajasthan. So one summer morning we went to visit the Amber fort. Rajasthan has a peculiar architecture which I had fallen in love with during my previous visits too. Not just my mom, but baby Annika had a wonderful time at the palace. The best part was the elephant ride up to the fort. Later we stopped at this amazing cafe called Tapri and had some delicious dahi puri and chai. I hope you enjoy this family vlog :)

"What won't we do for our Parents?" Given my recent situation with mine the answer is we would do anything for them, after all they once did everything for us. Walking all the way back down to ride the Elephant all the way back up is a memory you will both never forget even if it seemed silly at the time, these memories are priceless and lm so glad you did it. Thankyou for sharing 😊

@JohannaNorth 2 года назад
Yes well considering your situation this seems now like a very small thing to do for my mom! ❤️🙏 it was just a little sweaty and the walk through the cobbles and stairs was probably only difficult for my mom, so if the little girl in her was enthusiastic about the ride, who am i to deny her of this once in a lifetime experience 🥰

Thank you very much for this video Johanna and Vinod. You both are sincerely diplomats; especially Johanna who is promoting India that indirectly contributes to tourism. Hope your contribution will be recognised. And Anika is really an angel who behaves well wherever you take her. Love seeing her doing the little little twists with her arms and sometimes body. Will be a good dancer. All the best to your lovely mum too. 👍💕💕💕💕💞💞💞

Johanna, I would like to recommend you to visit the Ellora caves in Maharashtra. If your mom's mind was blown by the Amer fort, she will be absolutely speechless when she sees the Kailasha temple, which is many centuries older than the Amer fort, and carved out of a SINGLE rock, and that too, from TOP TO BOTTOM! Best wishes to all of you🙂.

I want to trust the info that i found about Jaipur govt strictly focusing on the elephants’ welfare these days! Because i felt a bit bad too remembering the things i’ve read about it in earlier years. Elephants are my favourite animal so i want them to be treated well 🥰🥰
@Alfablue227
@Alfablue227 2 года назад
@@JohannaNorth Of course, me too, but there are always law breakers, the issue is, where is the enforcement of such protective laws? Although, there were no such laws back then, my conscience bothered me, despite the elation of being so close to a magestic animal, that (as you know) is my absolute favorite, and that I ❤️ so much. But even then I already had a well developed conscience, and it really bothered me afterwards. Elephants are to be loved and very much cared for, so even though now protective laws exist, I can't help but think how painful the underside of their tail must be by the end of a day of work,, and constant friction; this despite the cloth that wraps around the cord, and the elephants's leather tough skin. I don't know, maybe I am too sensitive, but I guess one becomes such when love over rules all.

Who knows when she'll meet one again. Her child-like excitement and glee in this video was contagious! The nature and the endangered species of Rhinos and various other attractions. The wettest place on Earth, Mawsynram, Meghalaya, You can visit the state of Arunachal Pradesh too. Tawang, Dirang and other smaller places. Everything will be different from Rajasthan and North and West india. But the Keralites find the climate here and the food similar to Kerala, they say. Mam we were waiting for your vlog but coming after very long time.Mam you would have taken your mother to Himachal pradesh or kashmir as the temperature out their suits her as Rajasthan is very hot place.Good you brought your mom to India but you should made her to explore all of india.Here every state has something to enjoy.

It’s impossible to explore all of India in even one lifetime, let alone only the few weeks my mom spent here this time! We did take her to also see Taj Mahal and a few easy access places in himachal - but visiting Jaipur was the most important thing since Vinod’s parents and sister live there! 🥰 of course we hope to show my mom more of India on any future visits 😊

You’re right that summer season isn’t the ideal time to visit, but after already waiting for several years for my mom to be able to visit India we didnt want to wait several more months.. 😊🙏
