Thanks for watching!! Poppies open their petals in the mornings, so that's the best time to go. They close up in the afternoon or when it's cold. Although I was there in the afternoon, they were still beautiful to behold! Have you ever been to the poppy reserve? Leave a comment & let me know!!
Thanks!! Trying something different for the intro! Hmmmmm...Wizard of Oz ... I wonder if that's REALLY why they want you to stay on the path, and the rattlesnakes are just a ruse. Wouldn't be a good look for the park with snoozing tourists amongst the poppies ...
You made a wonderful video that represented the Poppy Reserve so well. Love the visor as that is a very California thing to get and a great memory. We really want to see them growing on a good year.
The poppies this year will probably have biggest super bloom with all the rain we’ve been getting! I highly recommend getting an adventure pass to offset the costs of paying for parking which will also probably cost more than last year.
I'm sure you're right about the poppies this year -- they should be stunning! There were so many last year, it's hard to imagine what a super bloom will look like. I checked out the Adventure Pass -- it's free, for 4th graders & their families. But the website also had info about the CA State Library Park Pass, and that one looks like a great option! Thank you for the suggestion!
Hi, pet dogs are not allowed at the Poppy Preserve. Service animals are (of course) allowed. I hope you get to visit it and see the poppies! This year is supposed to be a superbloom.
