I am trying to find information on the original Donut Hole, which I think was in Covina. There were apparently a few of these, but the La Puente location is the last one standing, thus why it is famous today.
Hi Roy, In the video description, I have the links to the 2 articles that I got my history from. The LA Conservancy said this was the 2nd of 5 built, but the only one with the donut architecture. Wikipedia said it was the 1st to open, but might have been the 2nd. After the chain went out of business in 1979, this one was purchased and the others demolished. The Wikipedia article lists its references, so you might have some success by checking them out. Thanks for watching & good luck with your quest!
