I love your style of video, it's a perfect blend of vloging and showing us the places you visit. To many vlogs tend show to much to the person and not enough of the place.
Robbie travel, is an flemish vlogger like Jason. His content is in english too. Next Jason is British and not american, that makes a big difference. Europeans are in general more down to earth
Pompeii is one of my favourite experiences, the setting with Vesuvius standing imposing in the background is just stunning 🌋🏟 The colosseum inside Pompeii is impressive & what an experience it must’ve been for Pink Floyd to perform there 👌🏼
Jason, are you still in the area? You can't miss the island of Procida (about 40 minutes from Naples by ferry). Neither posh like Capri, nor touristy like Ischia, it's an authentic, hidden gem in the bay of Naples.
Ticket for Pompeii is 16€ but if you go to just to Oplontis Villa and Boscoreale Site ticket costs7€ only. If you decide to visit all 3 sites together, Pompeii, Oplontis and Boscoreale ticket costs only 18€ and it is valid for 3 days to let you have chance of visiting all 3 sites. This latter option is a real bargain if you can schedule well your visits and you have enough time.
Jason, you are really a gem in the travel video channels on RU-vid. The information, videography, music, they all come together beautifully. 🧡 Stay safe, God Bless you.
I learn so much from your videos. I used to work for a PBS-TV travel show and find your videos really informative and personable. So nice to see these place without the huge crowds of tourists.
Jason, if you visited Pompei you can't miss Ercolano. Its archeological site is smaller but better preserved. You can go there by using the Circumvesuviana as well and then get off at "Ercolano Scavi" stop. Take care!
@@sarahcooper6352 oh yeah! I live in Ercolano and I've taken the Circumvesuviana to get to Napoli for more than 5 years, almost every day, when I was attending my University courses. Such a mystical and life-changing experience ahah!
Went last year and spent one day with a tour guide, but had to go back as such a big place it is the most surreal, and atmospheric place I have been too, one day I will return again as there is more to see , thank you for the vlog it bought back memories
I take groups to Italy every year and Pompeii is always the day trip I do from Rome. I always hire a Pompeii guide because there's so much information in this amazing place! I love Pompeii!
@@VesuviusGaming-um5yn we don't climb Vesuvius, we visit Pompeii. As far as Pompeii, my groups always love it. We've been lucky and have had amazing guides. My travelers love to see the connection of how so many current day conveniences started in Pompeii. This will stay on my itinerary for awhile. Pisa is another story...
City of Naples Is a Dream and have: Capri, Ischia, Procida, Pompei, Sorrento, Amalfi coast, Positano... all coast and Islands of Naples Is magic and city of Naples Is a Gem Rich of culture, 6 real palace, 8 Castle, 8000 monuments in open Sky, over 200 Museum, Real Park, Real teathre... 😍🤩
@@underscore2824 it is evident that you did not understand that I was referring to the honest Travel comment ... ah, I am Italian, Europe, Terra, this galaxy ;P
I'M EARLY!!! YASSSSS. Also, been binge-watching your Italy videos this past month over and over because I want to go there so bad 😣 Also, LOVE your videos because of how cinematic they are while also being a vlog, plus I love that you're not picky in terms of food and experience, that you just go with the flow. 😊 Your videos are so calming that I actually have them on while I'm studying for my nurse licensure exam as inspiration. ❤ More Italy videos please! I hear Positano is a beautiful place as well and quite near to where you are. 😉 God bless you, Jason. And stay safe!
What an incredible trip. We have the picture book about Pompeii, kids always love reading it and feel amazed with the stories. Thanks again to share again such a great video. Cheers from Indonesia🇮🇩

Iam new subscriber Arabic lady citizen thank you for showing us such magnificent landscapes you’re as guide tourist you encourage us to read information about places you visited we as travelers around world may god end this global pandemic soon amen stay safe blessed good luck to you iwish for your channel more success and progress
Great video, as always. Just one point though: people in 79 AD wouldn't see the Vesuvius as we see it today. The mount we see today was formed as a result of the eruption.
Hi Jason! Amazing videos! I'm really happy that you are enjoying our beautiful country and important site like Pompei! Probably with so few people there your experience has been much more immersive than usual. You will love Capri as well. Greetings from Ischia, another island nearby Capri. Hope you'll have time to visit it too :)
I can remember reading about Pompeii as a 12 year old. I remember seeing the Pompeii exhibit here in Dallas. I never thought I’d actually be standing in some of the same areas you were in as an adult! I was there ten years ago and I can still smell the air, the feel of the perfect weather and this overwhelming quiet sound. It was amazing!
Pompaii was so sad and sobering but at the same time so surreal to walk these streets and see time stand still in those casts of how the people died in that horrific catastrophe.
Hi! Im in Italy Now..well today our last day...but we was in Pompeii 2 days ago...you are right its a sombre place...I tried to focus on how they mustve seen clouds and rumbles coming out of that live volcano to this very day and they have to monitor it...its kind of scary to think...maybe in my lifetime, will it erupt again and encase pompeii back into its dormant state again! ....one part where there is silence is when people see the bodies. Theres always a curiosity with death , but how these passed away is completely different..to see their last pose......the items they found with them. The empty homes..shops..mosaics..you cannot help but be drawn to such an historic place.
Excellent quality video, mate! I was there many years ago and wished I could explore it with less people around. Smart move on your part to take advantage of this opportunity to see and film Pompeii before the hoards of tourists return.
That's quite odd. It is a pity, as long as I've seen videos of Philipinos visiting Italy for vacations at relatives living here in Italy, and also 2 or 3 videos of Philipinos who travel for fun and I am starting believing that Philippine Islands being more developed place (where sure not whole population) but at least a vaste majority now has the chance of starting affording International travels with ease. 🤔
@@raffaeleirlanda6966 oh... we could afford. It's just the pandemic is out of control in the Philippines. And it's irresponsible for us to just travel. That's why i'm sad that Italy could now allow its citizens and vistors to roam around, while, in my country, that it should easily control the spread of the pandemic, cannot allow to ease restrictions.
@@lga9436 Covid is back in Italy too. 878 people infected 25 of August and 4 died... 1367 people got infected 26 of August and there were 13 deaths... People wanted to go to vacation and they made their vacations. The discos were full of young people and 34 got infected in a cluster in a discoteque in Emilia Romagna. There are too many people who stopped take precautions last two months, and these are the results. We really risk to void all efforts and the sacrifices we italians made in 60 days of lockdown we spent at home from March to May in order to stop the virus spreading... 🙄
I liked the video, is interesting the architecture in Italy, and I think this place has a lot of history behind it. I wish you could upload another video showing more things about pompeii, but in the video you mentioned that this places has restricted areas so I imagine you recorded the most impressive places and the most important thing for you. Thanks for this video
Great tour. I thoroughly enjoyed it. It's 5:00 am and saw your vlog. Walked those streets in Pompeii 30 years ago. Wow. I will follow you on your other tours. Thank you!
Ercolano, another archeological site next to Pompei, though much smaller, it is better for a reason: the pyroclastic flow was much weaker and the houses managed to preserve the woodden structures, which foxilised, and all the second floors, while in Pompei they got burned and destroyed. So you can even have a better idea of the houses in the first century a.d. in the roman empire
9:29 that's a pedestrian crossing, designed like that to keep walking people outside of the mud and shit, but let cartwheels go through. In most countries crosswalk are painted in the same shape.
Another good video. I wish you had been able to stay longer and film more,. I suspect it would be a good place just to be quiet, and soak it in. You've been lucky to see so many places without many tourists.
Careful with that axe Jason 😆😆 !! Beautiful Naples, beautiful Pompeii. And by the way, jason, you can't miss the wonderful Napoli stations of art.. Toledo station is amazing!!!!
Beautiful! You were so lucky to have so empty vesuviana 😂 very unusual on the way to Sorrento 🙈 I'm happy You enjoy Napoli and rest of Campania, I live here from one year and I'm sooo in love with this place ♥️ PS yes some stuff it's always unavailable in Pompei it's not the fault of covid
Jason I think you have to visit our country Tunisia again we have many beaches, museums, the desert in the south and the enchanting forests in the north , the archeological sites which a big part of them were built by Romans.... We are so close to Italy is one of my favourite countries enjoy your time there
@Edward Wilson They had murals to show the positions the ' client' wanted as Pompeii was a port and because of the language barriers just pointing to a mural was easier than explaining! Plus the cobblestone streets the indentation of the the chariots we're deeper as there was more traffic to get there!
Stayed in Sorrento during my visit to this region. Much more pleasant surroundings than Napoli, and centrally located for day-trips to Pompeii, Vesuvio, Capri, and the Amalfi Coast.
