I visit the Ford Presidential Museum in Grand Rapids Michigan this week. This is the only Presidential Library & Museum that is split between two places with the Museum bein in Grand Rapids and the Presidential Library being in Ann Arbor MI.
I found this out after the visit but I enjoyed this trip thru American History. So 1 prez museum/library down and 12 more to visit!

Enjoyed watching this and learning more about Ford's life and career. One thing you didn't mention or show, was in December of 1974, Jack Ford, one of the Fords children, who was a big fan of George Harrison, arranged a meeting between Harrison, Ravi Shankar and Billy Preston, who were wrapping up a tour together, and President Ford. Film footage of the meeting is on RU-vid, as well as photos taken at the meeting. Don't know if the Museum shows or mentions this, but would be surprised if they didn't.

I had to laugh at Kissinger's voice coming over saying, "Gerald Ford was propelled into the presidency by a series of unpredictable events!" It was all part of the plan that Nixon would be pardoned within a month and the Warren commission 'facilitator' would be rewarded for his complicity.

Thank you for this tour! I thought it might be purely a puff piece. I'm glad you mentioned the injustice with Oswald. Oswald wasn't a saint but his life and legacy was ripped to shreds out of the expediency of a few. Sadly Ford was a part of that process on the Warren Commission and even admitted to moving bullet hole positions on JFK's body. At least he admitted to it where others would not have. The few presidencies after JFK were very troubled times with questionable men at the helm.

Glad to hear they weren't entombed until after they died. I just took it for granted that was the protocal for all former presidents.

It's the presidential museum. Not the library.
