Hi Julian , was nice to catch a few seconds with you on the Saturday, by the bar. Glad you enjoyed the show ! And yes the parking/ buses were a pain ! But us Brits to love to queue 😂Let’s hope they take note and it’s improved for 2024 !
It was great to meet you both on Saturday. I too failed to get anywhere near the stands and layouts on the ground floor and didn’t notice the stands in the extra area. I think all the Making Tracks 3 publicity increased the crowds. Cheers Kev
2024 goals - get invited to a RU-vidr meetup at GETS I knew from last year that it would be impossible to film all of the layouts properly in a day, so booked both. Making Track on its own would have filled that place. It would have been worth being open longer as at 16:00 Sunday, it was still 3 rows deep. I'm really surprised that after seeing how popular the 3rd module only was when it was at Chester for a whole month, they didnt expect the crowds from the opposite side of the country to turn up to view all 3 modules, for the first time that its been set up and on public display, for only 2 days! I thankfully didnt have too much issue with the busses as i fully expected it to be a farce so arrived very early ahead of the show opening and was on one of the first busses. I've heard that the car park became full and they were turning people arriving away and telling them to try again later, so it could have been much worse for you!
My brother and I hit the show with a “dawn raid” on the Sunday morning so were able to get into the car park without issue so missed most of the other fun. By the time we left around midday the place was getting VERY crowded. Saw the RU-vidr’s gathering where you all seemed to have formed a circle! Meant to pop back later and say hello to you, especially considering how far you had travelled to come to the show but seeing how busy the place had become, headed off… Shame but hopefully another time or event.
Great update about your GETS trip, really enjoyed it. Glad you had a good time in blighty. Would of loved to have met you and had a chat. Was there on Sunday but missed you. Next time maybe, atb Graham 🙂👍
Hi Julian & Paul, Its great you can joke about your transport woes and I am sorry that part of the day did not go well for you but like a lot of things in life timing matters in my case arrived at the bowl at just after 9am Sat. yes a bit of await with all the others but in the show at 9.45 to late to get a good view of Making Tracks but the bus run nice something different but this show was far to busy which for me was the major problem not being able to film much. As for going home I always leave early and again the transport worked well so as I said timing. I hope you did enjoy the trains and meeting the other YT'ers including me it was nice to meet you both so all thats left to say is I hope the new build goes well for you and will await the two videos to come out of it and I hope you will do the whole thing again next year when there is no football after all what a silly time and day to put on a football match 3pm on a Saturday!!!! Your comments about the buses are spot on. Return was a complete shambles and the drivers were unhelpful. I almost went to find someone from Key Model World to get things sorted. Show itself was great and good to meet you guys and see super layouts

A pleasure to meet you both, .......it wouldn`t be a Holiday in England if something didn`t break. I`m glad I bit the bullet and spent the weekend on site. I did chat with you in one of the isle, I was lurking in the background but saw you where doing a video so didn`t interrupt.
Yes the bus situation was awful on Saturday good job it wasn’t raining 😢. Waited 1 1/2 hours for the bus. The show was not outstanding a lot of layouts nothing was moving. I won’t go next year. Just feel the large shows are not worth it. Small local shows are at the moment far better.

I was there early on Saturday and had a short wait for the bus, no problem. The return to the car park was a bit longer to wait , but you just have to be patient. Remember, the drivers are on a tachograph and have to take breaks by law.
We were there on Saturday too and also weren't impressed with the buses. However I think it was more the bus company than Hornby/Key Publishing fault as they were doing shuttle runs in their cars to help. Shame we missed you, and agree it was busy as we couldn't get that close to some of the stands either. Keep up the good work
Hi Guys, Sorry you had problems on Saturday! Please don't blame Hornby Mag for the buses as That wasn't their fault! I arrived at the car park at 9am and was in the Hall by 9:45 and left at 16;30, and back at the car park by 5! Had a brilliant day! Hope Sunday was better for you!
Correct they only 5 days notice from the venue owners that the main car park was not availabe due to the football. Some of the staff were giving us lifts in their own cars so to blame them is harsh!
Glad you (eventually) had a good show. Did contemplate going, as it would have been great to meet you, but as well as being a bit of a jaunt for me (retired in mid-Wales), none of the layouts really appealed if I'm honest. Safe journey, when the time comes to return 'down under'.
Sad I never got down but longest from Scarborough. I agree with you on the Hornby delays again releasing HM sound profiles. You would think They don’t want money! The promised the class 20 third quarter but classic Hornby no show🤷🏻
The weather report! that would never be right 🤣 I would take Hornby mag relied on the bus company to work a timetable expected numbers the the supply of three work shy buses, for the driver who shut the doors & legged it I don't blame him, the fines the driver might get prob more than he/she would earn in a month on Sundys! (bus driving has never paid well in the UK). As for booking a football match on the sameday that's just poor planning by some football scheme
