@@What...640 it will take a few hours to reach the singularity and get spaghettified, before that happens though you will have a truly mindbending experience, with spacetime being curled up and a lot of light behind you(that is falling in from the outside). It may be the most beautiful death up until you get very close to the singularity.

There are worse ways to die. If I could choose my death it would be top of the list. You would see all the information that fell into the blackhole before you unfold before your eyes before you're turned into a piece of spaghetti. Quite majestic if you think about it.

Actually, there's nothing like "inside" a black hole, it's just the surface, and you just become part of the black hole because of it's gravity

No the largest black hole in the universe is SDSS J140821.67 +025733.2 it's diameter is 1,157,271,542,470.38km it's mass is 196 billion suns

Ton 618 IS NOT AS BRIGHT AS 10 TRILLION SUNS. However, the accretion disk surrounding the black hole is that bright. Black holes are non light emitting bodies. Therefore they radiate black body radiation. The accretion disk on the other hand is hyper bright. So much so that if you were within 50,000 light years of it, it would burn your eyeballs out of your face.

SDSS J140821.67+025733.2 is the largest black hole... sitting at 196 billion solar masses. It is 17 billion light years away from earth.. which raises the question as to how it got that massive so quick when the universe was young.

Apparently, it's mass is estimated at 280 duodecillion pounds, when taking into account how much more masssive it is to our sun, and knowing our suns mass to give those calculations.

I'd like to fall into a blackhole and see what is on the other side. Maybe even another dimension? On the other hand... I'd be long dead and my bones would turn into powder before we will be able to even travel to said blackhole. Plus it would be super scary seeing how you fall down there without any chance of coming back.

Cheap AND good don’t typically correlate. You’d need some magnification on the order of at least 25x+. Most binoculars have magnifications in the range of 7x to 10x. Anything over 10x usually isn’t readily hand hold able, requiring a tripod anyway. You’re likely better off getting an actual telescope. Binocs just don’t have near enough resolving power to resolve detail on the planets or in small star clusters.

That thumbnail picture is Messier 87, and the interesting thing about this black hole is that it’s so big, it spins its accretion disk into funnels at the poles which shoot outward for trillions of kilometers. Just thought that was cool.

The initial mass estimate of SDSS J140821 was later disproved. I just found this quasar has 8 billion solar masses which is less than the 66 billion solar masses of TON 618.
