I've spoken to a few of the Lawson family members. There's a lot of nonsense people are spreading about the murders. Even in that book that was written. The owners of the grave site are not usually happy about visitors, so anyone thinking about going, you need to either have to have family buried there, or get permission to be there. They are serious. Do not try to go the property where the murders happened, because the property owner there will not be happy. There is literally nothing there left from 1929 left anyway.
I lived a couple hundred yards from there from 1997-2002 the Lawson house was just through the woods to the right of the headstone about 100 yards , if you go out that gravel road to leave and you'll see an old barn when you get to Brook cove turn left and go all the way down the hill and you'll see some rock and stone columns on your left at Watts roads is private property but part of the old Lawson house there's a covered bridge up there and it has part of the old Lawson house as part of the covered bridge
I can also tell you that when you turn off no 8 on to brook cove Rd and left on on gravel drive way for cemetery you can see a tobacco barn that belonged to Charles Lawson in that area is where the Lawson house was
And yes they survived and son he is buried right behind the family plot he died in an automobile accident many years afterwards. From what I was told by family from that area that the Lawson's owned a very large burial plot already paid for so that is why they were all buried together.
Mary Lou didn’t belong to Charlie and Marie. I know Fanny gave birth to her. It is speculated that Charlie impregnated his daughter and that she was showing signs of pregnancy during the last days of her life. I’m sure there are things that no one really knows about that family.
@@NerdEpix I was curious if the daughter was pregnant when he killed her. But if he did this to one maybe another. But it was a family secret thing to pretend babies belonged to the mother of the family when born from under age or unmarried daughters.
no one will ever know if she was actually pregnant, and if she was with his kid. if you hear otherwise then think about this, how would they know ? this happened 95 years ago and they do not know factual.
I have heard this story before, but wouldn't they have done autopsy to the daughter after the murders and they could see if she was pregnant. Maybe she was pregnant from her boyfriend. I read she had a boyfriend or they did the autopsy and they found she was pregnant but they kept it quite many possibilities we will never know.
The thing is, Marie told her mother about her father molesting her way before the murders happened. It is possible that her bf could have, but who knows.
I only heard about this a few years ago and wanted to try and do a detailed video of it. I know I probably missed some things, mis-pronounced some names, or got some detailed information wrong. Was trying to remember as much info as possible while doing the video. Thanks so much for the comment!
Dude!! That cool old stone building along the river there, I have always wondered about!!! Had no idea that was it's original purpose 😮 wwttthhh??? 😂😂😂 Glad to see it's being renovated and repurposed for something better than that! I'm sure plenty in the area (especially women) didn't care for that place back then.
Question: If you’re saying James didn’t die that day and is buried behind, then who is the James on the big stone dated Born: Apr 5 1925 and died the very same day as all the others Dec 25 1929?? The other James behind, says born 1911. Something isn’t making sense…..who’s James on the big stone? He didn’t have 2 boys named James.
James was the other son of Charles and Fannie. There is a James Lawson and a James Arthur Lawson. He went by Arthur and he died in a car accident many years after the murders.
@@NerdEpix thank you for answering that! I watched a couple of you videos lastnight but this one was my fave! I love a good real life story-good or bad ya know? Great job!
