I used to work in this neighborhood as a delivery driver. I remember making a delivery to the mosque once as it was letting out and I noticed all the people leaving through this same small gate into one of these walled neighborhoods and I was fascinated by the way the mosque was basically in their backyard. There's also an Indian community not too far from here. Unfortunately they're not as friendly to black people so whenever I had to make a delivery there, it was kind of uncomfortable lol. My family has been in Texas for 200+ years but they made me feel like I was the foreigner.
typical Indian, they believe that they are the second o the white man, even the richest Indian will bow-down to a homeless Caucasian and give the 'look' on a rich black person. it's ironic the majority of Indians are of black complexion but they are highly into whitening products.
I'm sorry you were made to feel that way. Not right. Muslims are not perfect so racism exists. Islam is against racism. There is Islam in theory and Islam in practice. I'm a Muslim who is Black.
not as friendly to black people ? homie there are lots of muslim blacks, and im one. but ya some people can still be racist in a way ofc, people are still people at the end of the day.
@TIENx...Salaam brother. Muslims, particularly immigrants, don't want to acknowledge that elephant in the room. Yup racism & inferiority complex is pervasive in our communities. If you're white, the Asians - Pakistanis & Indians, as they're called in the EU, will not only be overly friendly, you might often be asked to sit for some chai. I've seen it too often & leaves me with disgust. Sadly.
At 17:42, Borama is a city in northern Somalia. It’s close to Zeila, an ancient town where some of the companions of prophet Muhammad pbuh settled during the first hijra (when they migrated to Abyssinia).
@@BUKHAREE Masjid qiblatayn in Zeila has 2 qibla because it was built before it was revealed that only the direction to the 🕋 will be the qibla, it’s also the second oldest Masjid outside of Saudi Arabia after the one in Eritrea.
As a Somali, I would have loved if they chose the name Seylac (Zeila), instead of Boorame. Seylac has much more ancient Islamic history and it was the one of the two Somali cities Ibn Battuta visited.
MashaAllah that’s amazing. May Allah bless your home and your family. Ameen I used to live in Valley Ranch/Las Colinas few years ago. May Allah bless the Muslims of Irving and DFW.
Asalaamu alaykum sister I have a question I live In California and we are looking to relocate In Texas California is to expensive and we can stay here anymore I’m interested In Purchasing a land anywhere close to the masjid in Irving how can I get In Touch with someone their about this I can’t seem to find a land for sell online, is their someone selling them privately? I would appreciate it if you can help me?
I have an innocent question. Could a group of black Americans move to a Muslim ruled country and set up their own neighborhood and it becomes this vibrant?
with the amounts of trials and sacrifice Muslims in America have gone through, surely Allah has blessed them for their perseverance to be steadfast. subhanAllah this video is very eye opening, the houses are beautiful and those street names are soo unexpected, keep making these!! May Allah include us into those who persevere on the straight path for Him. Ameen.
Thanks brother for the great video. Don't forget to say "Allahuma Baarik اللهم بارك" when you see something nice and beautiful that you adore. "MaashaALLAAH" is for ourselves, and "Allahuma Baarik" is for other; and all these beautiful homes deserve "Allahuma Baarik اللهم بارك"
Yes I recently practice saying this whenever I feel a tinge of envy. It is a very potent zikr to heal our heart from envy and jealousy. May Allah give blessing to others and increase His blessings to us. Ameen
ما شاء الله is for ourselves?? I have never heard this before. Before you say anything with regards to the religion, it’s best to bring your proof from either the Quran or the sunnah.
It makes me shed a tear. Muslims have been subjugated to bullying for the past 23 years. However, despite all we persevered, we endured. Many of the children in these beautiful places will not know what their parents went through, they will carry on our strong legacy and beautify the areas even more. Your brother from the UK
Muslims have been subjected with ridiculing, harassment, abuse and oppression from day one - from Abulahab and co. to now. It will continue as well as long as we hold firm in our belief of _tawhid._
Mashallah my brother I am never being in Minnesota before this is the first time and I’m telling you it’s a huge Somalian 🇸🇴 Muslim community here Alhamdulillah! So I feel in home even I am Mexican! Hahaha I loved ur video and Texas so hot hahaha the weather!
Similar town in Illinois called Bridgeview.. Its actually named little palestine on the map but there's actually more Yemenis lol.. I miss it.. The Masjid there is called Mosque foundation and Jumaa prayer is 2 prayers over 3000 worshippers.. 3 stories Magnificent Masjid..
I'm watching from Belgium. To be honest, I really didn't expect that Islam is this strong in Texas! MashAllah!! I feel weak comparing how Muslims are in Texas... This is a real good example how Muslims should be! Great video brother!
I wonder if there is room to plant some trees. I know TX is not quite like my Maryland, full of greenery, but it would enhance the beauty of these homes if they could plant more trees.
I love my state and pray all people find it welcoming and warm! Honestly, if you aren’t a Texan and you’re surprised by this… Texas cities and suburbs have always had huge Muslim populations!
I'm a Jersey girl, and I'm not surprised. Lol. Texas does everything better than the rest of the country. And anyone from a blue state who says otherwise is lying. 😆 We're secretly jelly of Texas 😊 God bless!
Very Large Majority are Non Muslim American's are Devastated in life , As of Loneliness, Drugs, Alcohol, Prostitutions Etc Islam is the Only Solution And Muslim Brothers in America have Bigger Responsibility to Bring them Closer to Islam May Allah Bless Our Brotherhood all over the World. Lots of Love from India
As a Catholic, I would welcome Muslim laws at this point. Our progressive politicians will collapse this nation if we continue. We are hurdling towards communism and I'm afraid for my son's future. I earn six figures, and inflation is so high that it feels like it doesn't matter. I work hard as an engineer, happily pay plenty of taxes, raise a disciplined teenager and somehow I feel like the government punishes me for doing the right thing. In NJ, I am the first to have my taxes raised for every program. I'm a Latina single mother, and I worked hard to become an engineer. And because I didn't settle for a life of struggle, my reward is inflation so that everyone else's student loans can be paid. This isn't fair. I paid my loans. My utility costs get raised to subsidize people who don't want to pay their utility bills. If you abuse the system, you are rewarded. I would gladly accept Muslim laws over a communist state. Right now, we're getting a small taste of communism in NJ, and it's bitter 😣
@@humblebee8334 No they are not, they are actually Somalis hence the name of the streets are named after their home town cities 🏙️ They also have a foundation called Amoud foundation named after a university in Borama. The foundation helps Somalis across Somalia 🇸🇴 who are experiencing hardships.
I live in different area 10 miles away from there and usually go to that mosque in Irving area sometimes. MashaAllah the Muslims in that community are very rich also they are very serious about their religion.
Happy to see my home on the thumbnail & at 15:51😊. May Allah bless the community and help all muslims to live close to the masjid regardless of the size of the house and to pray the daily salah in the masjid. JazakAllah for showing this side of USA.
el hamdu li ALLAH. so now where are the Islamophobes who said that in Muslim neighborhoods there are children playing with axes and decapitated women's heads in front of every door !? 😄
Texas cities are VERY friendly and welcoming! People have a wildly inaccurate view of Texas bc it’s such a big state that the rural population is huge and very stuck in the past, but the cities and suburbs are GREAT!
There is a lot of land in Texas to build. Muslims traditionally were living in D.C.,Detroit, etc ;but both recent Muslim immigrants and established Muslims form California,Detroit,Chicago ,etc have moved to Texas; cause the weather is more similar to many of their countries. Also more opportunities ;and less discrimination :less anti-Muslim.Many Muslims from all over live in Texas: Ethiopians,Somalis,, Sudanese, Afghans,Turks,Kurds, etc .Many of the Somalians that have retired have left Minnesota;cause it is tooo cold and moved to Texas , Oklahoma,Phoenix,Florida .
I gotta be honest. I am muslim but I am not happy at turning streets names, and a neighbourhood into a muslim one and muslim names. I choose the US because of the multiculture, the melting pot, the American street names and including myself with American citizens. Be careful at turning a nice place into an apartheid neighbourhood. Respect the identity of the country you are moving in or stay in our homeland with the muslim streets names and neighbourhood.
Salam brother .. thank you for this video it amazing and beautiful to see the strong Muslim community in Taxas .. but if you could tell us more about the cost of living , rent and the purchase price for those Pre - construction properties in the Muslim neighbourhood that would be very informative …
@@yousufibrahim884 Thank you brother YOUSIF .. you are one of the lucky brother living in this beautiful neighbourhood Mashallah .. I heard property Tax is very high in Taxas is that true ? I really would like to see the Ramadan Vibe in these Neighbourhoods ! May Allah Bless all of you ..
@@yousufibrahim884 thank you brother for your answer, do you know if those lots is for sale? I would like to buy one in cash since I'm trying to avoid interest.
Yes property taxes are high it just depends on the side of town your in in the city your at and if you buy it cash you can skip interest rates . But you still dealing with property taxes
We maryooleey can be found everywhere and no where. I honestly wasn't expecting a Somali family from this clip. For the twenty million we all Somalis number, we are overrepresented in diaspora compared to hundreds of millions of other communities and nationalities. The brother mentions in passing knowing Somalis from Islamabad, which reminded me my older siblings studying in Karachi universities in 1980s and early 1990s. My late sister actually spoke a passing Urdu. She was a doctor trained in Karachi. Allah yarhama.
masha'Allah the way many Muslims have come to America and within 1 or 2 generations built a life for themselves and their families is amazing to see 📈📈📈
WOW MashAllah♥♥👌👌 Beautiful houses but i dont want to move from NJ😍😍 brother i have a small house Alhumdulliah and im happy with it but i want to have a Big Mention in Jannah InshaAllah. Lets Hope for the best... brother im ur new subscribers from today😍😍
i see ppl commenting on greenery n trees but this is a brand new community. it will take time for trees to grow. Any other american new subdivision look like this. hopefully in the next 20 years or so they will hv lots of greens here
I rreally enjoyed watching this video while eating my lunch haha. I finished eating and the video was still playing so I mader a coffee to finish it. Part of me wishes you could have gotten a house tour of one of those beautiful homes. Allahmuma Baarik. Thank you for sharing Irving and ending with the ICI. For a long time I've been curious how big this space is.
May Allah bless our Muslim brothers and sisters with more. However, I would like to say, these are upper middle class neighborhoods, they are not rich communities though. There is a significant difference between upper middle class and being rich. So let's not confuse those two things. It is nice to see communities blossoming all over Texas. Love from California!
Developer, who develops a residential community with multiple homes, gets to name the streets. A classmate of mine did something like this near San Diego, on a hilltop. in 1970's . 1980's.
Beautiful houses & people only thing i dont like is they always want job done for cheap especially in my job (lawn service) they want to pay like they used to 10 years ago & with this economy everything went up including our equipment & work, only sad thing but beautiful people, very funny as well.
Maa shaa Allah! I am very impressed that there are beautiful islamic middle class houses and beautiful Mesjid in America! ALLAHU AKBAR! JAZAK ALLAHU KHAIR!
Salaam, I am so jostalgic watching this. I was favored enough by Allah to live in a Muslim Indian house at the Andalous beighborhoods 😢❤. They had so much respect for me as a foreign African student in the US. Living close to the masjid, in America. That was undoubtedly the most beautiful time of my life. That was in 2017.
As a Muslim, the only thing I hate in Rich village is they don't really go outside. The community is alot better when you see kids playing outside, people interact in a daily basis. Just an opinion, bond is more thicker when interaction is just normal everyday. I guess the hot temperature is the problem there but my country and place is also a hot and humid temperature
Unfortunately this is a problem across the country. Kids play online a lot now. My kid goes outside for a hour to play basketball everyday. And then games the rest of the day. I try to force him to walk with me and the dog to get him more time outside. You are pointing out a huge problem in American society. The idea of "community" is breaking down because few people go outside anymore. Even Halloween is thinning out.
This neighborhood is Mashaa Allah. Very beautiful. May Allah help me afford to live here without Riba. Nothing is more pleasing than living in Muslim neighborhood like this where you can pray 5x a day in Masjid. No drugs, no alcohol, no liquor stores, no gangs, no crime.
You don’t need much money in Texas to live. There’s lots of space for a little money. Then it looks like you’re rich. Come to NY AND DMV. Then go to Cali! You get nothing for 80x’s Texas prices
