Would love a "48 hours in london" top things to do eg. food, museums, sites etc. Heading for a weekend next month and this video is just getting me more buzzed for it.
I’m so glad platforms like these exist. I’ll watch your videos over tv shows any day. So informative but comforting and inviting at the same time. Thank you for being you! And for making uplifting content.
Next time in London, you HAVE to go to Bread By Bike!!! They are an incredible bakery. Specialists in sourdough, having won the overall World Bread Awards in 2019, they not only bake bread but also make an array of delicious treats, sweet or savoury! Not only do they deliver their bread by bike to customers (hence the name 🥺😊) as well as supplying many cafes across North London. The place is just amazing; with an open bakery so you can literally see the kiln in action and the friendliest staff who bake fresh goods every single day. Everybody there is absolutely lovely, the price is totally reasonable and the atmosphere is so comforting. You’d love it! 🥰 I hope that maybe one day you’ll get to visit it 💕💕💞
Every London video you do has me missing London more and more. I’m dying to go back. Especially seeing no snow, my province has had a storm every weekend in January and I’m over the snow now
So glad you mentioned Arome again!! I went there back in the summer after your vid suggesting it and oh my GOD, every time in London I have to make a detour there! The Korean bbq sausage croissant & the pistachio escargot.. life changing, thank you Grack!
I'm French, and I'd love to have the opinion of other french people following you Grace : because this channel features a lot of patisserie, I was thinking for a long time now how impressed I am by the differences there is in the shapes of the patisseries in England. Even with croissants, so many times you were impressed by the look of your croissant because it looked so good to you, and it's not that it didn't look good to me, it's the fact that it looked so different from a croissant here in France. I'd really really love to see you do this, a top 5 bakeries, but in Paris. And comparing the vibes of the bakeries (completely different too) and the tastes and the shapes... Would be sooo nice 😍😍 Love you Grace xxxx
@@Vonmacfire I feel like it's more about 'overdoing' the patisseries ! Like, they make it so well finished, and in France a good patisserie isn't necessarily that good looking. It's like when Colette in Ratatouille speaks about how they choose a good bread 'ni à l'aspect, ni à l'odeur... mais au son que produit la croute'. Every patisserie in France just look so simple.
@@golestan3331 ha I was just having fun!! France is very beautiful! I’ve only been to Paris and Giverney. I want to see more 😭 and I want to see French croissants 🥐!!! ✌️😌
The pastry you didn't like from Miel was a tigré. It's meant to be a financier type dough with some chocolate chips and chocolate ganache. They're quite commonly found in bakeries in Paris. I think like financier there just an easy way to use the leftover egg whites. Love the video per usual!
Im going to the UK in the summer. I would love to get some recommendations for places to go! You should make a video of your must try places in london (food, stuff to do, places to stay).
berkeley street with all the amazing restaurants, mount street/mayfair, selfridges & bond street, knightsbridge, walking park lane to hyde park, gail's bakery in southbank for a view of the london eye, westminister to sight see all the places, superblue is a cool visual gallery, camden town and notting hill for a different side of london, blecker burger in victoria, I could go onn
I'm not all the way through yet, but I just wanted to say I loved your editing of your handwritng over the video in this video. It made it feel more personal, kind of like we are looking into your video journal, v-log ha ha ... it was really nice.
I love Arome. Agree re the ambience of Fabrique (it is actually a chain, a Swedish one I think). If you haven't tried Morny's Bakehouse you need to go there!!! It's quite far out but omg wow so good. I love Chestnut too.
Idea for a midwinter Christmas Vlog Grace, the family have to buy each other a present from an op shop (Thrift shop) $5 per person is the budget. Can do serious or crazy gifts, lots of fun and plenty of time to plan.
Would love to see Sunday Bake, fish and chip, pizza, chinese food, thai food, mexican food, afternoon tea places, etc. Also shopping, decent souvenir places. Thanks!
I don’t know how close you are to Horsham but Gwyn’s bakery is the best I’ve ever been to! You should try it. Set up by a former Michelin starred chef who had a passion for pastry!
Hi Grackle! Been a keen follower of your videos, especially liked those on bakeries!:D Arome is my top favourite bakery as well but it's actually not a Korean bakery, it's opened by a Singaporean selling Asian-inspired pastries! Haha
First one is where I live and I can say the weekends is a whole vibe. Then go for an English breakfast couple of streets down, and go back to the pub in front of the bakery for a nice drink. P. S Sundays look for the street Market and the fromagerie.
Fabrique is actually a chain cafe/bakery. I’m Sweden there is one at every corner and they all look the same as the one in London. Could be a reason for the kind of cold feeling?
You should try the Dusty Knuckle in either Dalston or Green Lanes - the most incredible sandwiches and chilled out vibe. And you can help yourseld to potato sourdough whilst you wait for your coffee and food. Thank me later :D x
Next time you're in London, you should try Fabrique on Geffrye Street, Hoxton ( ...you could also visit the Museum of the Home, just opposite ). Their buns fresh from the oven, if you get there early in the morning, are quite THE experience.
Your family member who didn't like the honey toast has a double! He looks just like a Polish actor/singer Artur Chamski. Literally they look like they could be twins or the same person!😲
Cinnamon zelyanicum is forest tree. Extinct from india. But in England means. Very tasty fragrant his bark only o.k. don't cut the tree. Just collect it's bark.
Hey everyone Percy Ingles doesn’t exist anymore, I’m genuinely touched by it been going they’re since childhood 😢 😢😢. If someone knows pls tell me where can I get the exact same bread that you use to from Percy ingles??
