If they Shutting it down Wouldn't all the apps and games Be free to get before closing the store Nintendo needs to step up to The games that aren't Gems anymore
I Remember those I ended up buying those Red Blue and Green along with Red and White Video Cables to improve the picture (it's Called Component Y PB PR)
One time I did this (going into the Wii Shop Channel in 2017). I was doing it through the Wii U's Wii Menu. My Wii U was pre-owned, so it had an original owner. When I was there, I decided to go into the "Titles You've Downloaded" for the lulz to see if there was anything leftover from the original owner. Turned out there was The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time in there, already payed for and ready to be downloaded. I essentially got The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time for free LOL.
Gamebomber1 TV2 Emulators aren't illegal, ROMs are in a grey zone so kinda legal Nintendo stated that anyone is free to use an Emulator if they have the corresponding console and game but not sure if this is still their opinion
@@dw_drummer3828 It's funny how this video was released on January 30, 2017, 2017. Exactly 2 years before the official closure of the Wii Store Channel. (The store was closed on January 30, 2019) Or Exactly 730 days before it closed. (2 years)
MarioCraft156 Gaming IDK IM SO SAD I mean they already took down check mii out n stuff like that and also the global player thing in Mario Kart LIKE WHY
ah yes, memories of jumping when the music came on when I was doing something to pass time while it was loading. I just came here for the free stuff, Anyone remember the Demos they had like Jet Rocket, Chick Chick Boom and so many others?
who hated the wii isnt it like the most sold console in the market? only people i can think of were people who thought the wii wasnt for them cause they were more competitive gamers (even then, they didnt hate the wii)
ThatOneQ0r The Wii wasn't the most sold console. It was the third one, after the PlayStation 2 and the Nintendo DS. However, it's the most sold console in the 7th generation.
This takes me back to when I used to be so broke that I would just look for demos. And then I got my wii u for christmas. And then the switch came out 3 months later.
i keep forgetting that the switch was made 5(+??) years ago. i remember watching sis vs bro a few years ago, the switch came out and ive always wanted one. i got an acnh switch on christmas of 2020 because my sister didnt want it. i was the happiest girl that night. i feel so old lmao 🫠
Oh my god... Memories of the Virtual Console are flooding me... I loved that freaking Wii so much and bought a game for it weekly as a kid when I was good... Memories!!!
This is so nostalgic. I remember the little past me browsing the Wii channel when I was bored, or wanting to buy something cool. For some reason, I remember how long it would take to download games. Agh, so many memories...
The second you hit the channel icon and the startup music played I was hit with an explosion of nostalgia. Ah.... the good old days when I had to beg my parents to buy me things off the virtual console.
Watching this in 2019. The Wii Shop Channel will be shutting down in a few days. Crazy to think it has been receiving news and updates farther into this year.
This is nostalgic as hell. Such a wide selection to choose from, you could browse this place for hours. I wish the Switch had a large VC with some dank tunes.
Wii points, there was a time when I used to buy alot of wii point cards to download virtual console games and you made me remember them. So thanks dude!
Still fondly remember booting up the shop channel for the very first time at a friend's house in 2006. First digital store i ever used and that catchy music isn't leaving your memory easily.
Oh man. I'm feeling so much nostalgia right now. This video really makes me want to pack up my Wii that I've been storing in my basement for years and play it again. It's sad that Nintendo is ending so many great things. Miiverse, DS and Wii servers, and now they are ending the Wii Shop in 2019. I'm going to miss the Wii so much, even though I haven't played it in years. This console was my childhood. I spent so much time on this console. From winning a match in Call of Duty, to racing in Mario Kart, to exploring the planets in Super Mario Galaxy, and much much more. A time that I certainly will never, ever forget. Rest in peace, Wii. We will never forget you. Nintendo Wii (2007 - 2019)
I am happy the shop never closed since it allows me to play Chrono Trigger on my Wii U, among other amazing Virtual Console and even Arcade titles that never saw release on the eShop. Also amazing that you can use the GameCube Adapter on it through Nintendont and it still having native GameCube support hidden away.
