I went to summer school here in college specifically during the Spring Semester 1981 ( 2/81-6/81) thru the University of Southern California and earned 12 units of A's which helped my premed GPA, at the same time hooking up with a Swiss babe in Purple one piece tight Jumpsuit and a blow drier. It was fun !
Where was I when I was a teenager? 20 years have gone, and all doors are now closed. Can only watch videos on technical universities across Europe, wishing I were there as a student. Gonna tell all those useless teenagers out there who are busy with parties, drugs, and sex. Spend your time wisely. You must have fun, but don't forget to plan for your future. We can't turn back time.
Wow, you are extremely wise, but I’ll tell you one thing; It’s never too late to make a change. Do what you want to do and be who you want to be; achieve whatever it is you seek to achieve. When there’s a will, there’s a way. If you truly wish to experience what that school has to offer, then I’m sure, after putting in some hard work, they’d let you in to study or conduct research. Additionally, if you have accumulated a lot of knowledge in a certain field, you could attempt to get a job teaching over there. Lastly, please always remember that no matter where you are in life, strive to be your best self, the person you truly want to be. May God bless you my friend.
I have a serious question here, not wanting to offend any person in this video in particular but i know by personal experience, that there are hundreds of students at the ETH who don't speak English nor German. How is it possible that they're studying at the ETH? I always thought it would be teached in german/ english? I've met dozens of mostly asian people who barely spoke any English some who could not even formulate one entire phrase and they study there?
LOl crushing tests is different from actually knowing the language used form teaching. I am an English teacher in China, I have seen guys who can't even make a correct sentence crushing test where English is the main language.
I have just called ETH but they couldn't give me a clear answer. My question: Is full-time a MUST for the master's degree? I know that it is a recommendation but can I work 2 days in a week, if I learn and do the project work at the weekend or do I NEED to be present in ETH from Monday until Friday?
What are the GRE and TOEFL score requirements for admission of MS in Computer Science in ETH Zurich and also the span of a masters degree in ETH Zurich ?

hi I have a few questions 1.can I study in America the first year and then transfer the second year to ETH 2. Do you need to know German to enroll for you first year here for bachelors? 3.How would a student from America apply, and what do you guys look for? Thank you
+shamy pan Most of our bachelors start in German. Please have a look at our website: www.ethz.ch/en/studies/prospective-bachelors-degree-students.html www.ethz.ch/en/studies/registration-application/bachelor/hoehere-semester.html
Generally speaking, it's much easier to come to ETH for master studies if you don't speak German, also as transferring credits is an issue in many cases. Also, the master's course generally is easier to pass as there are many elective and compensatory subjects.
@@beta1885 the fun in going to Zurich is the german, the best way to learn a new language is by forcing it into your lifestyle, you can be amazed how quickly you will be used to it, more technical german tho will be the hard parts but that's where you can sharpen your social skills by trying to enter study groups and more to help you overcome.

Please visit our website for more information and contact details. If you are interested in studying at ETH you may find the section for prospective students especially interesting.
Okay, very interesting video! Really got us all wanting to study at ETH. However, for those doing humanities, it seems like there are never open PhD vacancies. How do people even get into a PhD programme if there are never available vacancies? Are they exclusively for students who are already a part of ETH???
In what tests should I prepare to get a scholarship in master's degree? I'm really interested to know I searched in ETH's website but unfortunately I couldn't find.

0:12 very clean equipment for study, even the best university in my area has a lot of rusty equipment, it can't be doubted that ETH Zurich is theone of the world's best university.
I understand the US embrace of foreign nationals in Universities because many settle there and participate and contribute to the national fabric, growing themselves and the economy, but I cannot understand these legacy European models. I would assume and bet that most of these foreign students eventually go back to their homelands or become worldwide free agents but contribute little to Switzerland long-term.
1:41 I am sure that's scientific state of the art research 2:21 Student concentrating says: Sod off camera ! 4:28 Not sure if that's a leisure activity.
Everyone in the comments want to go there while me: Naah. Not today. (I started medicine in Bern instead which is harder to get into rather than mechanical engineering)
harder to get into may be true, but there is a reason why roughly 60+% fail their first year ^^. And there is probably a reason why ETH is a top 6 university (in most of the prestigious courses), while Bern is barely top 100 in its field (medicine), sooo... ;P
