The Visual Water Balance (VWB) has a user-friendly interface that enables cost reduction and water usage optimization, as well as opportunities for water reuse, and provides quick and secure decision-making support.
Vale's Corporate Management estimates that with the assistance of the Water Balance tool, the company will achieve better adherence to the guidelines of the Water Resources and Effluents Management Plan, resulting in savings of over 40 million Brazilian Reais per year by optimizing costs related to internal workforce and external consultancies.
Furthermore, the tool will generate savings through process optimization and the identification and reduction of unaccounted losses, enabled by detailed and automated information provided by the Water Balance tool. The tool also facilitates the identification of water reuse opportunities.
