In this video, Visual Robotics demonstrates their VIM-201 3D vision system, picking boxes from a non-synchronized conveyor belt. Using their VIM-201 arm-mounted camera, the cycle time on a UR3 picking moving boxes is 2.84 seconds!
Visual Robotics patent-pending Vision-in-Motion technology makes it possible for their arm-mounted cameras to always know their location in 3D space in real time. This means their systems can visually servo toward a moving object without needing to stop and get reoriented.

Nice project, but I would like to know if the extra camera and software is really needed. You can use an omrom camera with PLC and an encoder to do this kind of work. Or even cheaper it is possible to do the same with a distance sensor + motion sensor if the objects have different sizes. The only case that justifies using this type of project is if the light of the place is not constant, the objects are geometrically identical, cannot place QR and the conveyor belt is too wide.
