Japanese brand visvim produced a film to give some background information on the production of their new Foley Folk Cordovan leather sneakers for Spring/Summer 2010.
I love visvim shoes and I love shell cordovan shoes. Devils advocate though: Shell cordovan is designed to last forever and becomes richer with age which is why it looks great for brogues and boots, you just resole them from time to time. Thing is if you use it for a sneaker, the sneaker sole will wear out too fast for this wonderful shoe to age. Resoling sneakers doesn't feel like the same luxury.
