Rest in peace, Scott Huntley. We received extremely sad news that Scott died after injuries from a crash on race day. He was a shredder and everyone has great things to say about his stoke and character. He will be missed in our community. instagram.com/huntley2147/
4:22 is the feature where Scott crashed and hit this tree at the bottom of the landing. I was just above the turn where it happened. Much love and respect.
Love how this track is designed with unavoidable compressions. Oh you can gap double 2 features? Well we have a 3rd one just after that so now with all that speed you have to absorb that half a second after landing. Looks so challenging but crazy to watch elite riders handle it.
Got to get a pad on that tree before the step up at 1:07. So many people almost going OTB in a high speed section then adding that tree to dodge could be really bad.
I’ve been tuning away from the sport as it’s been getting more and more dangerous and the sponsors are glorifying the danger , missing padding that tree is absolutely insane. We always joked they were trying to kill someone, damn ridiculous.
@@boblabahh4893 I’m not out on the sport but that course did look really dangerous. Always is easier in hindsight. Some more tech might have slowed them down a bit. Huge jumps and a lot of trees that are easy to hit. Rest in peace Scott. None of us, I’m sure the builders of the course included, want to see anyone get hurt.
Course is sculpted to allow max speed. Fun type of course but feels like it's missing anything really hard. Just my opinion as a former racer in the 90s
Bro. Having rode/raced you should know that any course at pace is hard. This course has huge compressions and is at high speed. Would love to see you do better if it not really hard....
