Chris Barnes is my favourite singer these 4 albums the blueprint for mainstream accessible death metal. I'm probably alone here but I'm even a huge fan of certain six feet under album's
And, FYI, Darkpath Records released these albums individually on cassette a few years back. Might be harder to track those down than just buying this box but that's another option.
Awsome video dude love chris era cannibal corpse their best era imo and im doing much better now to also btw its me Aaron we used to talk a lot hope your doing well dude and love your content too as well been watching you since 18 now 20 anyway keep up the amazing videos dude 🙂
@SchnellVITALVINYLVLOG I'm great dude thanks and I hope you are too as well and I agree with you there 100 % the Chris era of CC will always be my favourite era of the band been listening to the first four CC albums along with necrophobic atm another amzing band my favourite album is darkside every riff on that album is amzing 🙂
@@Aaronrosse I have to find a LP/Tape copy of Live Cannibalism Badly!! But I'm Okay still dealing with my best friend passing away from a health snafu in July. R.I.P ANGELA
@SchnellVITALVINYLVLOG I'm so sorry to hear about that dude :( I Have also found this month hard beacuse it's been 16 years since my dad died when I was four but I'm very sad to hear that dude :(
@@Aaronrosse Its rough my dad passed in 2017 and Im still bummed about it... I don't think ill ever get over Angela dying though that just sucks. Sorry for your loss though.
Oh yeah. I definitely first heard CC in Ace Ventura. I didn't buy any of their stuff until years later but at one point in the 90's it seemed like everyone owned Tomb of the Mutilated regardless of what they normally listened to. It was almost like Body Count's 'Cop Killer' or 2 Live Crew in terms of controversial albums from that decade. Still holds up better than anything else though!
Yeah I had a few kids wear like Cannibal Corpse shirts to school my senior year and I remember being like, "You like Death Metal?" Normally it was oh its my brothers shirt. But sometimes we would find a real fan. But yeah Tomb totally still stands up today probably stranger than ever honestly as EVERYONE seems to want their own Tomb Of The Mutilated... Like Its Just Top Shelf Death Metal.
I always loved “fifteen counts of arson” you don’t hear a his hero is gone reference every day! I def fell off with death/black/grind after I discovered sleep and electric wizard in like 2003, then somehow I fell into a 10 year long stoner rock phase. Uncle acid witchcraft, graveyard, pentagram ect. I blame the decibel subscription I had from 07-2015. ANB “arc” brought me to VVV in 2016 and that’s when I re discovered death metal/black/grind. So thank you !!!
Hells headbangers didn't do a boxset of the corpsegrinder tapes and i checked and vile is sold out but a Chinese lebal did vile on tape so keep en eye for that one
Im good with Vile, there's a few Corpsegrinder albums I legit never made it front to back on, I would like to go over again. I swear HHB had a tape boxset but here's the info: On September 15 internationally, Hells Headbangers will release on cassette tape a grand total of ten albums and one EP from the legendary Cannibal Corpse. Each of these tape editions will be strictly limited to 300 copies and will feature special all-over print on the shell, making for an essential collector’s item. Since their formation in 1988, there’s arguably been no band more influential and enduring than Cannibal Corpse. While many of their old contemporaries have broken up or (worse) wimped out, Cannibal Corpse continue to be THE flagship band for the art form of true, uncompromising death metal. Amazingly, having released 16 albums to date and touring nonstop across the globe, the band are as vital now as they’ve ever been; rarely do you hear someone say “I only like the early stuff” about Cannibal Corpse. bravewords.com/medias-static/images/news/2023/cancorcass823.jpeg
Like I've never made it past the 3rd song on that album. I'm sure it's good though... But someone needs to put Live Cannibalism on tape/vinyl Reissue@@Metalofmadness96
@@Metalofmadness96it's worth it. Idk if distributions are going to get this and I don't think they are selling the tapes separately but I would email HHB and then maybe they can grab it then order from HHB using DHL?
In my opinion dude like Effigy was important to brutal death metal i feel like tomb was also important to brutal death metal especially lyrically and evan some of those riffs to also i can hear infulance from this album from early gorgasm and stuff like that 🙂
Effigy let every HxC kid realize they can add breakdowns into Death Metal and really make it work. But early Suffo and early CC are so influential and important I normally just shake my head and keep my mouth shut when people say Cannibal Corpse and Suffocation are overrated... Umm no haha
@SchnellVITALVINYLVLOG yeah that's so true I hear a lot of breakdowns in hard-core like this and I agree with you there 100 % it did make it work people who say cannibal corpse and suffocation are overrated have half a brain too beacuse they are not not
@@Aaronrosse I do feel bad though as to me Suffocation without Frank Mullen isn't Suffocation.. Only OG member is Terrance right now, they should change their name to like, "Human Waste" or "Funeral Inception" instead of Suffocation since you are paying to see technically a cover band. But I love when I hear a Death Metal influenced breakdown on a HxC song where when Death Metal bands pull out a HxC Breakdown 9/10 times in my ears all I hear is, "WE KNOW THIS SONG GOES NOWHERE, BUT HERES THIS PART WE SPECIFICALLY WROTE TO PLAY LIVE AND MAKE PEOPLE NOT STAND THEIR LIKE STATUES. But again when done organically you can normally tell that it wasn't some premeditated move to try and win over a hybrid crowd in a live setting.
