So sorry about your Dad! Hope he is better! I have a question for you! I need some advice so I will go on your web site when I can and hopefully you can help me! I had a heart ablation today and parts of my heart that were causing my racing heart (SVT) were detected, but before they could be treated my heart went into AFib and the heart ablation was stopped! Now the surgeon wants to repeat the procedure but I would have the be on blood thinners 2 weeks before and 2 weeks after and my experience with many of the blood thinners is a horror story! I don’t know what to do!

My personal observation is, if you educate patients it will always result in better treatment because patients can explain better about their symptoms and take better care of themselves and it makes doctors' life a bit easier. One very common example can be most of the patient doesn't even understand the difference between chest pain related to the heart issue and confuse it with gas or acidity related pains.. so doctors need to go through a series of tests and find out the actual problem.. sometimes people get traumatized with very simple health issue whereas some times they just ignore very serious issue and end up in ER at the eleventh hour. Doctors should reduce the gap between patients and them. The way you explain things and communicates is definitely praiseworthy that many doctors do not do. Respect and best wishes to you. If I can help you in any way with your noble journey, please let me know.

LOL, good luck with that. I'm thrilled you're so open minded, but my experience with Dr's, nurses and others is they will simply hear "Vitamin" and reject it. Especially nurses. I developed AFIB after taking the J&J Covid vaccine. It got so bad I had a heart ablation 4 months ago. It seemed to work, but the fib returned a few weeks ago, and much worse. My cardiologist suggested another heart ablation - so I scheduled it and had another two days ago. Three days prior to the 2nd heart ablation, I started taking vitamin C and the AFIB subsided completely. I thought about cancelling the second ablation, but the idea of it coming back again was frightening. Today I see this video and I am convinced that I was vitamin C deficient. I am going to stock up on vitamin C and magnesium and use them as my first defense going forward.

I'm 57 and have a history of SVT and possible mitral valve prolapse (one dr. said "yes" another dr. said "no"). At any rate, in the last three years I've started to have a few episodes of AFib (msybe 8 in the last 3 yrs). Typically I will have a-fib when I have the flu. Twice in the last 3 years when I knew I had the flu because I tested pos for flu, I had a-fib for a few hours and within a couple of weeks after that I experienced a secondary short-lived episode of afib. The initial occurrence during the flu seems to trigger subsequent shorter-duration episodes within a few days to a few weeks. I take a lot of vitamin C everyday... Anywhere from 8 to 10 grams per day and I've been doing that for so long it's hard to say for sure whether the vitamin C prevents what would have been additional episodes of a-fib. That said I do have a feeling vit-C does generally tend to reduce bumping, thumping incl a-fib. I just feel more "solid" and stable in my chest when I take a good dose of vitamin C . . .

The vitamin C doses work very well, however if I stray from my control food intake, or if I have a lot of stress, or if I don’t get enough sleep, I seem to be more susceptible to incidents. I started doing megadoses of 20 g of magnesium, along with the vitamin C, and the vitamin D, and K2. I just started the extra magnesium on Tuesday after watching the DR’s RU-vid video, I’m actually feeling pretty good and my heart seems to be better than normal. Yeah man, B1 is very important, especially for the adrenals. I've been working out for 9 years and must admit I overdid it a lot of times, also high consumption of carbs in the past might have depleted my B1 and vitamin C, now my resting heart rate is around 90-130 (last year it was 53, and sometimes it goes down, of course, its not always high, but a couple times a day it shoots up), although cardiologists say my heart is completely normal, B1 depletion and chronic stress without acquaint rest might just have destroyed my nervous system, and I'm only 25.

The commentary so reflected my experience of AF. Two episodes within a short space of time about two and a half years ago resulted in me taking beta blockers and blood thinners. Since then I have focussed even more on my diet and aim for a low GL intake, have introduced regular 30 minutes daily exercise to raise my pulse rate and also walk every day for c. 1 hour. I ensure that I get enough sleep and try to avoid stress and have been supplementing with vitamns C and D, although this latter has been to improve my immune system, but I'm heartened to hear that I have inadvertently stumbled on a natural aid to improve my condition. And the good news is that I have not had another episode. I have also recently started using Epsom salts in a weekly bath and that has improved noticeably my focus and energy levels and I understand now is also a natural assistant to improving AF. I would also like to add my thanks for all the information on this subject that has been made available through your videos.

I’d say combine vitamin c (powder) make sure it’s L- Ascorbic acid and not just ascorbic acid and take L-lysine with it. These two work together to build collagen, strengthen arteries and pull plaque out of your arteries and vessels. Hope this helps.. ohh also magnesium and potassium are good to take, try get them from food but supplements if necessary. I had serious AF and PVC's (Premature ventricular contractions) and two cardiologists and my family doctor strongly encouraged "heart ablation surgery". I declined. I started experimenting with time-restricted-eating (TRE), intermittent fasting and multi-day fasting. Within the first month a frostbite sore/scab that I had for 15 years (not a typo) healed beautifully. In the 8th month I got my CRP retested. It had been "off the charts" - a score of 12 where optimum is less than 1 and "normal" is 1 to 3. After 8 months of daily fasting (my eating window was usually 4 to 6 hours), my CRP was 0.01 - the lab was giddy with excitement and told me they had NEVER seen such a low score. At 70 years of age I am back to what I've done all my life - running, golfing, swimming, camping and biking - to name a few. BUT here's the #1 thing to know and it's the first thing to try: DO NOT EAT AFTER SUNDOWN!!!!! NEVER EVER. Why? Because "eating even nutritious foods (after sundown) promotes serious inflammation" (Dr. Satchin Panda - researcher). I told a stranger that I met at a sports event about this #1 rule. I knew nothing about him. A month later, at another event he recognized me and came up to tell me that he had changed one thing in his life (a long-time insulin taking diabetic). He stopped eating after sundown. He reported that his AM glucose test was 78 - a number, he said, that he had not seen in a LONG time. He felt he might have a very different life in his old age (72+) than what he had been braced for. He also felt he would be soon reducing and then eliminating the drugs he was taking.

God always answers my prayers, and there you are...again, and with help that I need NOW! I have had AF for several years now, but my episodes have been mild, except for last week, when I had such a hard time controlling it. My husband was diagnosed with dementia, and life has become really stressful, but music, and just taking him for s drive helps us both. I love the idea of natural cures, and recently I used food to improve my kidney function. My bloating was not going away. Then my brain clicked when I remembered an article in my research pertaining to right leg swelling, and liver inflammation, or fatty liver. I looked up good liver foods and habits, and bad ones, just as I had done for the kidneys. My bloating is leaving, and that is great, Now, I will boost my C...thank you for being there for me , again. Great info! !

Afib and indeed Aflutter (AFL) has been identified as THE LEADING risk factor in developing severe Covid19. I had an Aflutter more than 4 years ago but have since lost weight, started rigorous exercise and laid off carbs and sugar. I will be sure to add Vitamin C to my daily supplementation. Thanks Dr. Gupta.

Glad I watched! Cardiologist says don’t worry and I’ve had nuclear stress dozens ekg from ER panic attack visits. These ectopic beats are a literal nightmare… Magnesium helped and losing weight and getting in better shape is helping. I have typically 6 or so a day. I dont go into full panic attack but rarely I have panic disorder and take celexa and zanax as needed. I limit the zanax of course but been taking it for over 15yrs it helps in a panic state. I am trying vitamin c tomorrow and appreciate your videos very much it helps reassure me. I pray your dad regains his health soon! Thnks

Best wishes to your dad Dr Gupta. Speedy recovery. I just started taking Vitamin C for my over health. It's only a chewable one I take 2 a day. What is the best one to take? And will this benefit me as I have VT? So I have palpitations constantly.

Liposomal vitamin C is meant to be the best. It goes directly to the cells. It's more expensive than the normal vitamin C but worth it and good for overall health especially in these times. I'm sorry you are in contact AF - is it awful?

Hi, Thanks for your reply. I really don't take much notice anymore from the palps. Only on days when they come like a big kick and long pause do they bother me. I am taking Nebivolol I am on the very low dose. I was on a bigger dose, I decreased this as I hate being on any meds.

Thankyou & bless you. I am glad I found you! Learning about AF helps us to understand what is happening, and how to deal to it especially from a studied cardiologist as yourself! Kind regards for all

you are absolutely right. For so long doctors have ignored looking into natural food sources for health promotion, but instead concentrating on prescribing the latest and often expensive medications for patients.

Thank you so much Dr Gupta. You are haven sent. I have an AICD implanted 5 years ago. I often experience irregular heart beat. I do take fruits everyday first thing in the morning. Usually mix fruits. I will try and concentrate more on oranges and other vitamins from now on and monitor the heart beat. I was told to avoid taking grapefruit because of the Atorvastatin that was prescribed. Will update in a month or 2 of the progress. Once again thank you so much. God bless you and your family.

Thank you so much for your knowledge sharing. I hope you inspire other doctors to be more involved in naturally occurring treatments. I have seen that VIT C, B and magnesium can be indicated for helping with AF. I am trying VIT C and will keep you informed. Our soil is so degraded and this leads to low nutrient levels in our foods. Soil health is directly linked to the health of all of us and the animals we care for and eat. Soil heath is the key for all of us to maintain health. I want intelligent and well informed information, thank you for providing this. Best wishes for your Dad, he is very lucky to have a son like you to care for him. Take care. Clare.

I'm a retired cardiologist in India. I'm 81years young I take vit. C everyday for many years. Vitamin D is as you know , is good for cardiovascular health and URI and Covid19. Those with levels of 25 OH vit D level in the blood above 50ngs per milliliter had low incidence of Covid19 infections and when infected had much milder disease and the mortality was very low. But the governments don't do anything about stressing the importantance of ditery supplements. It is unfortunate.

Here I am...trying to calm down after a horrible breathing episode during sleep. These appeared right after I got home from open abdominal gall bladder surgery. I was twenty seven. I will be 76 in June. I developed sleep apnea after years of ER visits, and being told, it was just nerves. That was only partially true. Early in life, I did experience hyperventilating. BUT, after all this, I began to wonder about the vagus nerve, and It's relation to my issue. I read, in a medical journal, that open abdominal surgery, will very likely cause respiratory issues. Bingo! Now, I know I am not crazy. I finally remembered that hyperventilating technique of breathing into a paper bag, to equalize the oxygen, and carbon dioxide, and one episode night, I frantically grabbed my nightshirt, and shoved it over my nose, and mouth, slowly breathing, and the episode gradually improved. I think these occur during unpleasant dreams. Since I now have A Fib, I fear the episodes will be triggered more frequently. Tonight's episode was, I believe, the result of a mild A Fib episode this evening. I have watched your video regarding vitamin C, and A Fib, and I plan to take C more regularly. I love your videos...The ones about high blood pressure, have been so valuable, and reassuring. Thank you. You are my guru.

This is something I found out about just a week ago so I am trying it out, I take 500mg every four hours except for sleeping, then I will take it if I wake to use the restroom then resume in the A.M. no side effects of any kind as yet, but I do seem to have more energy and feel better. Thank you for all you positive and logical information, and my best wishes for your father and family.

Very interesting info!! Recently Dr. Greger spoke about a study where high school students were given Vit C and it reduced there stress and anxiety and slowed down heart rate. Also think back to the 1940's when a Dr. Walter Kempner cured about 70% of patients with very high blood pressure with a diet of mostly fruit and rice. Where does most vitamin C come from.....FRUIT! all interesting stuff
