My considerable internet research has finally paid off and recognized with extremely good facts to exchange with my friends and the world. Medical Doctors and Dermatologists said (HSV 1&2, Herpes zosters) do not have a medical cure because the virus is capable of hiding within the human cells, it remains protected from your immune system. Herpes isn't an incurable virus! your immune system has the tools to fight it back. But because it is able to lay dormant in protected cells, your immune system is unable to remove it from your body, But with strong reactive herbal medication, it is capable of getting rid of the virus gradually and totally from your body without any side effects, natural herbs kill the virus totally not just reducing the outbreaks. I just got my test result today after 7 days of using the herbal Medication and it came out Negative to both HSV 1&2.im so delighted I recommend this to anyone suffering from herpes virus. You can get natural Herbal Medication from Dr. Aloha contact him through his email: Alohaherbalhome@gmail.com or WhatsApp +1(202)871-3222

I'm a retired NHS Consultant haematologist, and want to comment on near patient testing. While hometesting like "your personalised vitamins" can be very convenient, this test kit does not mention what its accuracy or confidence levels are, nor does it include any kind of positive control. I couldn't find any data about its accuracy eg whether 22 ng/mLmight mean 22=/- 5 ng/mL on its website. It would be an interesting test to try out 3 test kits to see how similar the results are . I look forward to seeing how it compares to the postal NHS kit. Meanwhile thank you John Campbell for all your COVID coverage, which I watch almost daily, and am taking 3000 iu vit D3, increasing to 4000 iu after this.

John as a 48 year old Australian (plenty sun) my vitamin D was low. At 10,000iu per day it took 18 months living in Florida to get my blood levels optimized. Ive since never had a cold in 5 years. This was after global executive travel where prior i was always ill with colds. I have continued to take 10,000iu per day and have maintained that level. It beggars belief that the medical system does not know this after years of research. In fact when covid started I immediately gave this to my parents in their 70’s. Astonishingly my dads doctor said it was “dangerous” and dont take it. He then jabbed him with double dose flu shot which made him ill for months. Its hard to think the medical “industry “ is so subverted. Thankyou for providing life saving evidence about Vitamin D. You are a saint sir

John, I watched an interview with a professor who had spent 50 years researching vitamin D, and fifteen years ago he discovered the immune importance. I recommend it, but have forgotten his name! When I find it again I'll let you know. He was fascinating on the massive importance of D in all bodily processes. His assment of amount in blood is based on a lot of research, but largely on two facts; modern hunter gatherers in Africa [living as close a life to that lived by our forebears] have a level between 40-60 ng, and that's exactly the same for nursing mothers to give their offspring sufficient in milk. He therefore stated that 40-60 is what's needed, and hius suggested supplement was 6,000IU D3 daily. But more if levels are very low. Since it can take months to get levels up in the blood, I'm taking 10,000 IU daily.

In 2009, when the Swine flu was the flu of the year, I started taking Vitamin D. After four months of taking 4 000 IU per day of Vitamin D my blood test showed 30 ng/ml - which is still low. When I took 6 000 IU per day and added 300 mg of magnesium my levels went up to 40 ng/ml after two months. This whole Vitamin D "thing" seems to be very individual and far more complicated than we first think. My doctor said that she had cases where 10 000 IU per day normalized her patients levels, but she also had cases where 3 000 IU per day was enough. So many factors are in play when it comes to the uptake of Vitamin D. Some need 2 000 IU, others 5 000 IU and a few even as high as 10 000 IU per day. Blood test is a must.

Two things should be mentioned about Vit D3. 1) It is a fat soluble vitamin so it is better taken as a capsule rather than a tablet 2) As well as improving your immune system, it aids the uptake of calcium. This additional calcium can get deposited in the artery wall unless you increase your intake of vit K1/K2, which encourages its storage in the bones. Supplementation is the easiest way. Many supplement companies are now offering D3/K2 combination capsules.

After watching your vids I got a 25-hydroxyvitamin D test back in November. I'm at 89 nmol/L or 35.6 ng/ml. I had been taking 1000IU every day for a few years but decided to take an additional 1000IU as the cold winter was setting in. In the spring I'll take another test.

I had a blood test some years ago when I was supplementing with 7000 IUs/day and the value of the D levels in my blood was 50ng/ml. I later upped the supplementation in winter to 10,000 IUs/day in winter. I have not had my blood tested since then. Being an office drone at the time, I continued to supplement during the week all year since I believe standing in the parking lot with my shirt off at lunchtime would not be appreciated. The upshot is it doesn't matter that someone takes supplements, what matters the blood level of vitamin D. I have found that grassrootshealth.net is a terrific resource for vitamin D research information.

My brother who is a pharmacist says it should not differ, but that is what happened for me. In both cases I used to have it with a meal with enough fats ( because it is a fat soluble vitamin)

I have done a blood and my vit D levels were 25.55 and am now taking 8000 for the next 2 weeks to top me up I will take another test then . But higher levels make sense and its so cheap to buy . Is that the reason the research is not hyped - there's no profit for big Pharma companies. I like leave you to answer that one. Stay safe.

Interesting. My doctor thinks 70ng/ml is optimum, but is not concerned about my increase to 83ng/ml after doubling my dosage. Doctors rarely recommend a level as high as 80ng/ml. Personally, I doubt 5000 IU/day is enough to reach 80ng/ml. You probably need at least 10,000 IU/day to reach that level. Fortunately, 5000 IU/day should get you to at least 60ng/ml.
