I use the 8oz container more than any other container! It's THE BEST. I make all of our dressings and dips homemade and it's soooo easy with the tiny blender. Also, I use it to cut up fresh parmesean or romano. It works perfect for that. Cut into pieces and blend it relatively low for a second. Never have to take out the cheese grater (I hate grating cheese) and you can store it in the same container you blend it in! I have the 20oz too but I find that I almost never use that one. I would want to use that for smoothies, but it just doesnt work as well. I end up having to take it off and shake it too much, I'd just rather use the big pitcher and tampe for those.
I love your videos! Your truthfulness about pros and cons is so refreshing, and I have trusted your recommendations because of it. As a result, we have been so pleased with our purchases! We got our first Vitamix recently after researching and deliberating for years (at least 10) about which on to get. Your video on choosing was what helped me finally take the plunge. We've since ordered a few more items through your links and feel like we are getting exactly what we will actually use. Thanks for the information, clarity, concise content, and beautiful videos. It's so appreciated!
I have both the 8 & 20. While I don’t use them a lot, they are perfect for small jobs. I like to make a homemade BBQ sauce & don’t like a chunky sauce. The 8 is great for the onions & garlic & then I rinse the container using some of the other liquids that go in the sauce. The 20 is good for preparing the morning smoothie, add some of the items at night & just set it in the fridge & in the morning add the remaining ingredients & blend.
Used the 8 oz for a recipe that called for a small amount of PB, and did not want left overs, worked great in about a minute, easy! Also, never turned it above '6' on the dial.
Many times my blender has trouble recognizing the smaller containers and will not turn on so I have to screw and unscrew the lid like ten times put off and on unit and plug and unplug it to get it to work. Anyone else have this problem?
I've found a way to overcome this. Hand tighten it, put it on the motor and twist clockwise a little more. This will tighten it as much as it shound be. When finished before taking is off turn slightly anti clockwise to loosen it. Hope this helps.
I’m a NEWBY to the blender world. Thanks to you I purchased the A3500 copper color, which arrived yesterday, and also the package deal containing the 8 ounce, 20 ounce, and smart blade, which will arrive next Wednesday! Looking forward to applying a lot of your recipes!
@@LINY , unfortunately I couldn’t confirm my email address from your confirmation link. No matter what browser I used I kept getting the same error message that there were too many re-directs.
@@anthonyscott5134 Can I know the price of the blender? Did you find any good deal while buying? About the small jars did you buy all the 3 at the same time like a bundle? Thanks!
Thank you! Had recently been making thick collagen smoothies and could not figure out why when I was done, the socket drive was hot. Too many super thick elements and frozen banana. Lesson learned. Big super thick smoothies in regular container, collagen slightly thick drink in the 20 ounce container. Yet another reason why I love your channel ❤
These never recognize on my blender i have tried everything and ive had a little success with it but i hate filling up the 20 oz container to make a smoothie and it wont blend so i dump it into the 64oz jar dirtying all the things...
@@valeriekurtz5620 i put it atop and then another small bit of tightenging, works great. If it is too loose, it wont recognize, too tight, the same. So, hand tight, so it will not leak when inverted, attach and small tighten, works every time.
This happened to me so I contacted Vitamix and they sent me a new container. Fixed the problem. Some of the containers wouldn't sense for some unknown reason and they are working on it.
a great hack for my mom would be if she could make whipped cream in the cup and store it in the cup in the refrigerator. Would you say that's possible or for purposes of whipped cream, would she be underwhelmed? & can you store the containers in the refrigerator? Thanks.
Thank you for this video. I was just about to drive 2 hours to buy one. I’ll just use the regular blender and just purchase small containers for storage
I REALLY want to love these, but I have such a hard time getting the base to recognize the containers. I align the arrows but a majority of the time it still doesn’t work. Any additional tips on how to make them work would make me so happy!
When it does not recognize, while still on the blender base, grab the top and tighten. Just snugging it’s up a bit while it is on the base is all it takes and you will see the icon appear indicating it recognizes it. I never look at the marks, this trick works every time. When finished blending leave it I. The base and loosen it just a bit before taking off. Hope this helps.
I do really appreciate this review/tips video. I really love our nutribullet for making individual smoothies.. Hubby likes creatine and other stuff that I don't want in mine. So, I like being able to make similar smoothies at the same time with those small tweaks at the end. But we really do NOT like how the nutribullet does not last.. I've had to buy multiple replacement blades and I hate that. I want to buy it once and use it forever (maybe I'm asking too much?). So, I found these attachments for the Vitamix and got excited, however, reviews say that these are less than great for smoothies. And I appreciate the honestly as, it's far from free to learn this lesson the hard way! I'm still interested in a fabulous Vitamix blender (for all the other great things it can do, and it's durability!!), but I'm hoping they come up with a better individual smoothie cup system accessory for the big blender! Thanks!!
I don't know why I have such difficulty opening the lids! I've tried everything I can, and sometimes I just can't get to my green juice i store in it! any suggestions?
Hi there ! I’ve had them for a while and I really enjoy them, but they’re a pain to wash. Especially the smoothie one ! I can’t access the bottom of it with a toothbrush or a sponge and the self cleaning cycle doesn’t help (ex if I make a smoothie with chia seeds). Also, dirt/mold builds up on the top rinds and they’re not accessible, even my nail can’t get in there. 😞 would you have any tips ? ❤
I just dropped a serious chunk of change and upgraded my Vitamix 5200 (I'd had it for 15+ years) to the Vitamix Ascent - including the food processor, 20 oz, and 8 oz accessories. I'm still getting used to the blender. The food processor attachment is brilliant. The 20 and 8 oz accessories though... ... I was losing heart... until I watched this video. Thank you for the ideas and encouragement! I know this video is a year old, but I would really love to see more of what you do with these two attachments. (Maybe you've already made videos on this? Going to scope your channel now...)
Can you use the 8oz cup interchangeably between spices like garlic then something sweet? Does the blade wash well and will not leave traces of those flavors that could ruin your next blend? How do you properly clean those blades? Can you add water and a bit of dish soap and blitz it like how the big container have that wash cycle? I have been delaying buying this because of that concern. Thank you and more power to your channel.
Do you have a buy a special blade for these smaller containers or can you use the blade that the Ascent 3500 comes with? I’ve seen it bundled on Amazon with the blade but on Vitamix, it is just the containers.
Yo Lenny! Since the pandemic my elderly mom moved in move in with us and I'm trying to get her to 2 eat a little more clean is clean so so what's the best best tasting vegan vegan powder you could recommend? I like garden of life but but she's not hes not thrilled.
Hi 👋 Can I ask for your recipe please? I tried making some almond butter today, using half cup almonds with 2 teaspoons avocado oil … but not sure I really got my ratios quite right. TIA 😊
@@suzyballantyne2670 I did add peanuts little by little in the 8 oz container, and pulsed it initially need to have sufficient quantity for the vitamix to do it's magic. I didn't use any oil
i don't get why they made it in 20 ounces for the smoothie wtf....you can't even put any frozen fruit and ice or anything else before filling up too fast, it should have been MINIMUM 36 ounces
