Autumn "Allegro-Adagio Molto" (The Four Seasons); from The National Botanical Gardens of Wales; Julia Fischer en el violín; acompañada de "Academy of St Martin in the Fields"; del Maestro Antonio Lucio Vivaldi
I love how Vivaldi put some extra thought on how spring and autumn can be similar and if you listen closely you can hear some similar Rythyms and melodies
@@Killerbee4712 What do you mean? Winter is the most appreciated of them all by a long shot. Just type them in the youtube search bar and you can see that Winter has like 5 times the views of the other seasons.
I think it's underrated because people are trying to approach it in a binary way. It's neither summer nor winter, neither cold nor hot. Is neither complete life nor absolute death. Seasonally and musically held hostage by winter and summer. It's a transition. To me it's just perfect Autumn. Wonderful.
@@johntravolta2770 spring has a more lush and flourishing full sound painting the imagery of green grass and colorful flower fields. Autumn differs from spring where everything is slowly dying as winter approaches.
Close your eyes and you can feel the season. The quick paces are like rustling leaves and brisk wind; the somber, slow section is the decaying life that was one summer as it falls to entropy, and it quickly picks up again to feel that orange, vibrant, ruffly season that is autumn, giving a last breath of life before snowfall, that is often referred to as Indian Summer around these parts. It then subtly and respectfully slows down at the end. That, at least to me, is that this piece is, and reinforces the entire purpose of any genre of music: it's far less about you hear; it's all about what you feel.
There's a special place in Hell for that ad that played in the middle of this beautiful piece... Edit: Let me make this clear: I'm not against ads being in music videos altogether. What I am against is when they're placed right smack in the middle of the song, completely killing the mood.
I love it, not because of death... Autumn is a limbo beetwen life and death, a bittersweet season, it's not death already but not life anymore, and I think this is the true beauty in it.
I agree with Miranda on that one...But Autumn is beautiful too...Irony,that such a beautiful time of the year is also the time of the year, when everything dies...Perhaps,it is that we are alive in that time of death, that makes us feel so good...
Winter of this series is my favourite, but autumn is my favourite season. The aroma of burning leaves, (that's not weird, is it?) and the beautiful colours and chilliness. (I live in Canada, so I'm used to the cold :)
Fruits ripen, time to harvest the crops, the air gets cooler and drier, the trees in temperate areas become red, gold and orange. Nature becomes more quiet and starts to rest for winter.
i didnt start loving classical music until i started taking music appreciation at college this year. im now completely addicted to vivaldi, bach, and handel. ^_^. This is sooooooo beautiful! this group plays impeccably, and i loooove the soloist's dress! thanks for uploading this :)
This clip is a pleasure to listen to (obviously) and to watch as well. Love the beauty and focus of the main violinist, the intensity of the players, and of course, the masterpiece.
Nonono Probably joy. I mean the other ones are happy too (except for winter) but this gives me a feeling of.. like if it was all over. I don't have to live throught misery anymore. I just want to take a walk outside in the forest with this masterpiece and forget every bad memory I've ever lived.
Me and my sister always watched fairytales when we were kids. (My country makes a lot of the classical prince-princess movies) There was one I enjoyed because it was dark, but sweet and it had the best soundtrack. The prince went searching for a wife in 4 kingoms (spoiler alert, he found the best wife at home) and each kingdom had it's own atmosphere. Just now I realized that each kingdom had one tim of the seasons playing in the backround.
@@pierresihite8854 I'm also from the year 2021. The pandemic is still here, but we figured out a vaccine for it that we don't know for sure yet if it works.
@@youcouldvebeengettingdownt5620 I appreciate you trying to correct us but we didn’t mean classical era. We said classical music. Classical music is another word for saying every single period of music: Medieval and under, Renaissance, Baroque, Classical Era and more.
This is so different compared to other Vivaldis seaons. Great piece too no doubt, but still very different from others, like Winter and Summer has some same sounding parts etc.
Vivaldi clearly wrote Summer and Winter to evoke each other, same with Spring and Autumn. Summer and Winter have a much more intense feel and are written in minor key, they occasionally share motifs too. I think it represents the year pretty accurately, Summer and Winter being the extremes where we experience the most excitement, struggle, pain, joy, etc.
Here’s the translated sonnet that Vivaldi wrote to accompany this season: Allegro @0:00 Celebrates the peasant, with songs and dances, The pleasure of a bountiful harvest. And fired up by Bacchus' liquor, many end their revelry in sleep. Adagio molto @4:45 Everyone is made to forget their cares and to sing and dance By the air which is tempered with pleasure And (by) the season that invites so many, many Out of their sweetest slumber to fine enjoyment Allegro @7:13 The hunters emerge at the new dawn, And with horns and dogs and guns depart upon their hunting The beast flees and they follow its trail; Terrified and tired of the great noise Of guns and dogs, the beast, wounded, threatens Languidly to flee, but harried, dies.
Exactly. It has spots of high energy (like wind blowing leaves around) which is punctuated by moments of melancholy (winter will be here soon). So good ❤
I never read about Anthony ,and His thoughts, his heart's desire; such great composer whose music so greatly inspired! Can only s eat and listen in a private moment. How special it is! I can only thank the musicians who performed and touch us with excellence and perfection. I could perhaps say more and I can only listen to their work with gratitude and openness. Also delightful when sharing the moment with family and friends. Performing act ! I reserve and look forward to the Artists visit either in America! Perhaps in Asia or Europe. My heart had being elevated to even greater Love ♥️ Jesus! The King of Kings.

+bravaLiz We learn about this and that is the reason i am listening to this, i dont like it but does that mean i have a lack of Musical Education? Hell no
+Caitlin Kaulitz I don't know why we add some noise effect in the viedo. For example the water dropping. It's not a problem with Vivaldi but with caballerohorus.
+aurora felicity LOL Islam for one forbids musical instruments. That's why when you see that stuff on the news theres only singing in those propaganda videos. This mass migration occuring now will be one of the greatest tragedies in human history.
I've heard this of course but like others have commented here, I've never really listened. I'll be playing it for my geography students today, marking the equinox. A good day for a beautiful pause.
First, Brava to Julia, Bravo to Academy of St. Martin in the Fields. This particular expression of Autumn has been my listen for a long time now. Arising at 5AM, going outside, weather permitting, and just soaking it in for the day to come. Won't comment on the many comments before too much, except some are not just ignorant, they are downright STUPID. All, be happy we are able to even hear these masterful works presented with masterful excellence.
