Topped of by smothering the musicians in surgeons masks displaying the ideocracy of the delusional pandemic . It's like modern art. You display the beauty and violate it in a rage of irrational resentment.

I’ve been searching on and off for years to find someone who sings this as I hear it in my head. Maybe it’s the key and the D# is right at the passagio, making the process of going back and forth through it again and again really problematic for singers. Whatever it is, I’ve yet to hear a soprano who can do that *AND* sing musically at the same time. This woman does an OK job, but her technique is not mastered, according to my ears.

Wow you learn something every day! I was watching the movie Shine and this piece is heard twice . I had to find out what was so thankfully the music is listed at the end while the Aria movement is being played! I searched on RU-vid and up came this performance. The soprano’s voice is outstanding and I prefer hers to that from the movie’s musical score . While I love baroque and other classical music, there are many, many gaps in my knowledge. But I know beauty when I hear it. And this piece is one of them. I thought Vivaldi’s Nisi Dominus was his best but RV630 equals it in my humble opinion.
