My personal piece of the master, he was so young, his only audience was himself and his mind, there is nothing more personal in all Music than this....what a sublime performance, great Musicians.
Watching her video of Bach’s Arioso with the same accompanist is really moving as well. I always wonder how far along the cancer was and how aware of it she was at the time of that recording... seems like she’s feeling that one on a deep level. Pulls every bit of beauty out of that great piece. 💙💔
I love this performance, everything is perfect, the interpretation, the tempos and the tone both in the fast movement and in the slow ones. Brilliant! BRAVO !
Superb! She makes it look so so easy!! Beautiful! bravo. If only I had started the cello when I was younger I might be able to play that last Allegro at her speed. As is, I am in my seventies and still struggling with book 5. But the Vivaldi sonata is one of my favorite pieces along with Danse Rustique. Thank you so much for uploading this. You inspired me to practice more!
I’m sure you’ve already finished it by now, but good luck! I finished this piece 3 years ago when I was 11. Really is better when you play at a young age.
Thank you so much for sharing the video! This is my homework for this week and I was clueless as how it should sound like. I am gonna watch it like a hundred times, I guess.
@@f1redemon966 Not exactly. I was expected to play to some extend when I meet the teacher the following week after the assignment had been given, but of course, it will take me many weeks’ of practice to get somewhere good enough and the teacher would say that I can move on for something new, meanwhile I will be also given other little exercises for techniques training.
I’m sitting here in my cello classroom (alone because my teacher has a performance so I get to practice on my own). Listening to this because I’m playing it atm and it is too hard for me (mostly because I have no motivation to practice despite loving the cello)
ohhey itsjay you can get the Bärenteiter Urtext Edition (www.amazon.co.uk/Complete-Sonatas-Cello-Basso-continuo/dp/0006520596) or you could just buy cello Suzuki book 5.
This is amazing. Ms. Beer, your passion rings through with each note you play. Bravissima! Although, I do wish you guys had a harpsichord to play on. Still, a perfect rendition.
Beautiful.Thank you. Personally I prefer the harpsichord or the luth as accompaniment. Vivaldi himself didn’t know the piano, I think. The harpsichord with his golden sound, is for me the Rolls Royce of the musical instruments.during the baroque era.
Aaron Fried they mean that she is playing with the style played in the Romantic era not the Baroque era so there's technically a specific way to play it but I agree with you
the music is from the Baroque era of music and is supposed to be played in that style. It tends to be more light and airy while Romantic era is very expressive and emotional.
baroque music is just as emotional as romantic music, in my opinion. I know all about performance practice, but shouldn't the primary concern be the expressive quality? as long as she is getting across what vivaldi was saying isn't that a successful performance? it's not like she's playing molto vibrato with heavy bow. I think everyone's entitled to their opinion, but there's not one correct way to play baroque music.
......well....I played this when I was only 11 I personally prefer the first movement for difficulty reasons. I find that you mist appreciate all movements of a piece. Therefore I can’t agree with you. I prefer playing the first movement yet I appreciate all movements of Vivaldi equally.
