The accordion is very much an acoustical classical instrument. When I used to play decades ago, my teacher conducted an accordion orchestra. I remember we did La Traviata by Giuseppe Verdi. But Martynas' Four Seasons by Vivaldi is EPIC! Bravo!!!

Para los críticos negativos de las ejecuciones de Vivaldi por Martynas ; digo que las nuevas generaciones la gran mayoría ya no escuchan música están pegados a una pantalla. Pero Martynas a llenado de aire fresco y desenfadado joven y lleno de vida impulsando a las nuevas generaciones con sus magistrales ejecuciones Si Vivaldi viera y oyera esto también amaría a este muchacho talentoso e intrépido. La introducción del acordeón a la música clásica a sido toda una revelación y ha oxigenado las magistrales composiciones de otros tiempos . Por mi parte estoy feliz de oír a Vivaldi y me agradaría también oír a otros compositores con música alegre y fresca como Mozart Tchaikovsky y tantos otros . Aplaudo a Martynas

Ich höre es mir immer wieder an. Bin total verliebt in den Klang des Akkordeons. Das ist ganz neu für mich. Wenn ich nicht Klavier lernen würde, könnte ich mir auch das Akkordeon für mich vorstellen. Der Klang ist so besonders. Er hat immer so etwas Dramatisches, Klagendes in sich. Ich mag das sehr 😍

Any criticisms of histrionics or egotism are pretty much beside the point which is that this young man is bankable AND reaches a brand new demographic audience and they all perform with so much strength zest and glamour - young performers like this have a role in reaching the ears of the social media generations… they are clearly having an utterly excellent time as will most listeners….seeing what 7 violins a viola and cello and 2 double basses plus giutar can do is also fairly ravishing…the korean guitarist takes the harpsichord/guitar role and assuming he is local - he is clearly impressed too if not stunned. The only other similar performance I saw was Nigel Kennedy and his divan orchestra doing The Seasons at the Proms in London 10 years back or so …it was broadcast on TV so a film may lurk somewhere…..kennedy emphasizes the small scale /intimate salon circles Vivaldi brought this piece forward and that play and interchange between artist and venue.audience was normal - so ‘playing and exploring’ such pieces is what it was all about when this tsunami of beauty was offerred to the Glory of God - no avoiding Antonio was a ordained priest - whatever God first and last…not even worth discussing with materialists
Martynas, I used to play accordion for 10 years but stopped studying when I made the decision at 18 to go to university and become an accountant. So I have an appreciation for your talent. I met the great accordionist Gervasio Marcosignori of Italy R.I.P. (who later became an executive for FARFISA in Ancona). He collaborated with the organist/composer, Adamo Volpi, and adapted his music for the accordion (i.e., Preludio Op. 31). I have a 45 RPM record of Marcosignori's version of Preludio Op. 31 which I should record for You Tube. Would love to hear you play that too.
He does in several parts, but you're right that he doesn't leverage the basses as much as he should/could. Also, it seems to me his playing is more focused on being histrionic and sensationalist than exploring the full capability of adapting this piece to the accordion. I particularly dislike his random dissonances in moments where Vivaldi clearly had a harmonic concept that should be respected.
@@AyalaMillan As most accordion music is not composed specifically for the accordion, there may be many rhythmic and harmonic variations that will emulate the original composer's harmonic, melodic style style and intent.
@@AyalaMillanmany musicians - as you possibly know are uninspired by having to constantly play what pleases the publics heart and ear…the music is hackneyed and uninteresting - these attempts to bring zest and life into suchnpieces should be welcomed - Nigel Kennedy in the UK has also used slight variations arguing that the piece wasnt listened to innrespectful silence originally and the aristocratic audience had to be seduced into listening and that side notes in the original manuscripts shows Vivaldi was no stranger,to variations and sound effects himself
