I started listening to Vivaldi during the pandemic, not sure why he never caught my ear before, but I have fallen in love with his incredible compositions. So much power and beauty to this piece. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for sharing this 🙏

Glad you found Vivaldi. You've also been fortunate enough to have crossed paths with one of the ALL-TIME best interpreters of Vivaldi and that whole period of incredible music. That would be Fabio Biondi and Europa Galante! I fell in love with Biondi when I discovered his Corelli Concerto Grossi while I was studying the concerto grosso and trying to figure out how to teach these fantastic gems to MY students. I keep coming back to Biondi's work. If you haven't done it, grab the printed Corelli Concerto Grossi (12 of them). LISTEN to one of them first. THEN note the printed music. Biondi/Europa Galante make such music out of the printed page!

Antonio Artese said to Scott Yoo that Bach expressed repeatedly his huge appreciation to Vivaldi’s work, which he studied extensively. So, in that respect, it is very safe to admit that when we say that Bach is the father of classical music, Vivaldi must have been its grandfather.

No you aren't getting old, you're litteraly just getting exposed to classical music. I have never met a single person who said they hated a classical piece or thought it was for old people after giving it an actual try. On the other hand I have met a lot of people who said it was elitist/posh/snob and yet who hadn't listened to a single classical piece in their life, they were just repeating idiocies. These same people are going to enjoy Hans Zimmer, John Williams', Danny Elfman, Joe Hisaishi, Koji Kondo, Ramin Djawadi's (etc...) compositions in movies, series or games yet they are basically still "classical" music. Hating classical music is just ignorance, and it's simply cured by actually giving these pieces a listen.

When I was a kid I was very inhibited and withdrawn and I couldn't listen to anything but Bach, Mozart and Beethoven. Now I'm in my 60s, outgoing, happy, and listening to Death Metal, Grunge, Gangsta Rap and Post-hardcore Queercore Riot-grrrl Skate Punk and, of course, the blessed Father Antonio Lucio Vivaldi.

I started to understand that not everyone can see and feel the true beauty of these masterpieces , this is why i am trying to stop showing to people (trying to introduce them into Baroque music), Vivaldi's works , only if i am asked to I know , everyone have different tastes , but we need to aknowledge what is truly beautifull.

Una incisione di 6 anni fa? Ma il mondo né.ha preso nota? Ci si accontenta di Bach, fan tutti gli gnorri e fingono di non sapere, che VIVALDI ha avuto un ruolo fondamentale che lo ha portato al riconoscimento.che prima.non aveva. È ora di che si dia il titolo.di Dio della musica al grande Vivaldi che diede dei punti a Bach, senza contrappunti ! Grande Fabio Biondi, siculo focoso! In questo concerto Vivaldi, mostra una parte che una gran parte che nessuno vuol sentire!
