Can’t wait to use them with steam VR standalone. The Vive streaming app won’t work wirelessly so I can’t play on steam vr games with full body. Hope it happens soon

FACTS! Luckily I can get vive streaming to work well enough to play games like VRchat. But the Vive streaming service/app/software is so atrocious. I have a pretty damn good 5G WiFi connection that allows me to play flawless wireless pcvr using Steam Link and Virtual Desktop. However, the first day I boot up the xr elite headset and use vive streaming wireless I get nothing but CONSTANT buffering. The software is trash in my opinion. Need that 3rd party pcvr support to drop ASAP.

@@FlashSonic542 yeah well at least u know that they are working on it cuz in the dongle box they include a hub for it. I use virtual desktop and yeah the headset dosent have as good as a connection to the computer as my quest 2 does but it still works well enough. But yeah I’d love to have it where I can plug the dongle into the computer instead of the headset so I can have longer playsessions with full body

@@SpikeTheRikkor Yeah I very much love the trackers themselves, I’d say so far after using them almost every day they’re on par with 3.0s. Very smooth tracking quality, as expected from a Vive tracker. Now in terms of battery life and longer play sessions what I ended up doing was buying a 30 watt usb-c power brick thing to plug into a close enough wall outlet in my room. Then I bought a usb c hub that can be charged while still charging the battery cradle.

The Vive streaming app only really works with a hardwire internet connection to your PC. That's how I got my XR Elite to go wireless for my Steam library

I would assume you would want the trackers on the wrist to be more up on the arms sinxe the headset already does hand tracking or if your using the controllers

are the straps on the foot secure secure cause if beta rolls around and youre playing blade and sorcery with fbt will it slip off with the straps when i kick something or would i strap it to the ankle for more security

Sucks that I just basically won't be able to buy these until theres proper SteamVR support, and by then, we just won't have the websites deal anymore at that point. Also, practically nobody is talking about or showcasing these trackers, whats up with that?

Wait for the PCVR beta first but according to how this all works theoretically you should be able to connect 8 by using 2 dongles connected to your PC because since 1 dongle handles 5 trackers 2 dongles should be able to handle 10 meaning you sbould easily be able to use 8 trackers in theory

This seems like they forgot to make it usable without their sh*tty new standalone headset ?! whats the point of the trackers having 7h of battery when that headset has 1-2h of battery and takes a whole day to charge lel, if anyone know why it seems impossible to setup those VIVE Ultimate Trackers on steam vr without that new headset please do tell me.

Why did you develop such an awesome tracker then make it completely worthless for the vast majority of the VR user base? Nobody owns or uses the Vive XR Elite. Well, almost nobody. Why would you lock it to this device instead of making it SteamVR compatible right from the beginning?
