@@tarnetskyggeAnd also, 150 for Block, Heavy Armor, and Long Blade?! That’s for sure going to let him win. And he was able to save himself from going “wugh” last moment via one of his health potions.
To be fair, that little old lady has the best nuke spell in the game, which deals a whopping 1500 pts of fire damage. Only a select few NPCs can go toe-to-toe with her.
Most surprising thing here. Wish he'd get buffed with aoe spell and resistances similar to Almalexia in the expansion. We'd get way less videos of 20 Fargoths punching him to death in the internet.
@@antonisauren8998 Vivec is, even by expansion standards, a very strong character; some matchups are just not in his favor. I never expected many of these fights to go the way they did, though xD Also, a fun fact: despite having a Magic skill of 100, Vivec only has a 53 percent chance of casting his touch spell successfully! This decreases to 31 percent when he's out of fatigue. His target spell will always have an above 100 percent chance of succeeding regardless of his fatigue level.
Do you know why Vivec lost to Helseth? Because Helseth has Helseth's Ring, which gives 100% rebound. I recommend this ring if you want to fight Almalexia.
Looks like Viec was designed that he will never fight someone but the player. The sheer amount of health is insane. I think that his loses are issues of combat algorithm developed by programmers.
Lol! Well, despite how strong he is, "Gaynor" is still beatable. Check out my video titled "Gaenor vs Tribunal Bosses" for the very few NPCs who managed to overcome him ;)
remember that vivec isn't at his full power, so the fact that he rivals such strong opponents is still impressive, even if some can counter him (helseth mainly)
Thanks for the kind words and the sub! I, too, share your dislike for misplaced music tracks and will only ever use game-specific music in my videos. No music at all could also work.
Thanks! I should make a video where I pit Helseth against other high-level NPCs. He's really strong, but not invincible, and does lose to quite a few heavy-handed opponents.
also, i find it interesting that nearly all of alemexia's followers seem almost purpose built for taking out vivec as he's mainly a mage. strange, almost like they were hinting at something...
Hands of Almalexia are devastating against both melee fighters and spellcasters. Based on my testing so far, they may very well be the strongest characters in the entire game. For an example of how a single Hand fares against a very strong melee fighter, see my video titled Gaenor vs Tribunal Bosses.
Yeah, Helseth may have gotten out without a Scratch, by Barenziah straight up one-v-one'd Vivec with none of that Reflect nonsense, just pure "Angry Mom" energy
If I'm not mistaken, you can also knock spells out of mid-air with projectiles like arrows, bolts and throwing stars too lol you need a high Marksman skill to guarantee the hit though!
Correct, it's possible (though very difficult) to block spells with projectile-type weapons, and vice versa. It's much easier to block spells with spells.
@@vivecarenapit That is still absolutely incredible. I think I've seen some spell clash mods that have beam struggles like in movies, but never where spells just outright crash into each other. Why has no one thought of modding this into Skyrim? Heck, the graphics originally put me off, but I may need to play Morrowind now.
What's more, even if Vivec were to forgo casting spells and just use his fists instead, he would still lose because Helseth's ring makes its wearer regenerate fatigue really quickly (it has Restore Fatigue 10 pts on constant effect). So no matter what Vivec does, he's completely screwed in this matchup.
Helseth ring totally ruin the game balance. But recently i think the ring actually meant for companion. Such as the hireling at helset quarter or if we put various companion mods.
I'm extremely impressed with the quality of these videos! Great work And man I'm now thinking about how freaky some of the things you fight in Tribunal are The Imperfect is scary the unique sounds perfect agh Morrowind good to see some great new content for this 2002 Masterpiece
Vivec does have unique voice lines, but for some reason they were never used in the game. I have no idea why he's set to sound like a werewolf xD An oversight on the part of the developers? Anyway, you can listen to his original voice here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-TnW2vJoOIUo.html
The Bloodmoon expansion adds werewolf sounds and makes them the highest priority for general sounds. Vivec doesn't have any higher-priority specific sounds.
"None may stand in my way. Not you, and certainly not Vivec. He is a poet, a fool. I will deal with him when I have finished with you." She was right about Vivec it seems.
Was surprised just how easy Vivec was to kill. He has like what, one easily dodged spell? Poked him to death with a spear. Took a while... but very low danger overall. Almalexia on the other hand nearly kicked my ass! My poor little ironman acrobat panicked when the sword came out.
Vivec's target spell (the one he uses most often) is not all that impressive, but his touch spell does a massive 600 points of damage, so he does have the means to one-hit KO even high-level players. This spell is so difficult to cast, though, that even Vivec himself has an only about 50 percent chance to do so successfully. Neither Almalexia nor Vivec have any Reflect abilities, so a good way to beat both of them is to spam Damage Strength/Endurance spells at them and wait until they either get stuck or knocked out from exhaustion.
@@vivecarenapit you can also chain a few fortify intelligence/willpower spells to cast one almighty one hit kill spell. i killed dagoth urs second "invincible" phase. though i was using MCP which raised the cap of the value a spell could fortify.
It's pretty funny how Vivec just doesn't have any kind of weapon on his person what-so-ever -- Just Pure caster. Sure when it works, it works, but then you get people with super potions and Reflect enchantments, and suddenly he's a cake-walk
Vivec knows Chim. He probably created another universe for himself to live in while leaving behind an avatar of himself to guide his people. Either that or im coping very hard right now. Make it so Vivec starts with 0 magicka and see the result. Reflect spell is so op.
damn.... vivec got schooled by helseth so easily. this is why reflect is soooo broken. i literally did this on my own character making her effectively immune to damage.
I think Morrowind does a really good job of conveying Vivec's power level. He's extremely strong and can kill almost anything in the base game but he's not invincible especially against other immortal beings.
I like the more relaxed atmosphere that comes with using the exploration tracks, but it's just a personal preference. I could mix things up a bit and use combat tracks in a few of my upcoming videos, but I'm probably not going to do so on a consistent basis.
@@vivecarenapit maybe reserve it for the more climactic moments or interesting matchups? it was always a little silly to have dramatic combat music play when a headcrab looks at you
@@SilverstringsMusings That and the abruptness of the transitions between exploration and combat tracks always annoyed me to no end. I like how in Skyrim the combat tracks won't even play against low level enemies unless you've lost a lot of health. It's such a simple change, but it makes the gameplay so much better.
@@vivecarenapit Oh I didn't even notice that change, but I also don't remember the combat music in Skyrim playing at inappropriate times so it must have worked.
Out of all annoying youtube contents, with yelling, subscription begging, annoying music etc etc. This video was very pleasing, despite the fact that It wasnt trying to address any important subject. The editing and effort, cudos!
Thanks! Hitting 300 subscribers is definitely a major milestone for me. I had 2 subscribers after my first month on RU-vid (and yes, I tried really hard to succeed), so the recent surge in the popularity of this channel is a welcome change :D
Nice work! Answers to questions i didn't even know i had lol. I slayed vivec with a concerning amount of sujamma at the age of 11 so it's noto too suprising to see him get folded by characters much stronger than my goofy old Nord.
