Taking a trip down memory lane. I hope all these old band music videos never disappear. Songs I used to listen to back in high school. Those were simpler times.
I discovered this great band a lot of years ago in a mexican show called "Sesiones... Con Alejandro Franco" and fell in love with their music, even i pirated that program their live show was amazing.
This is the first time i saw them.in this video on a show called new york noise. A pro 5 brough band show.i fell in love with this song and them.i have followed their ever since.im disturbed the whole world at large dont know of the women.and their obvious talent.but perhaps one day.
Tbh their throw down in the woods scene reminds me of all the fairytale characters hanging at Shrek's swamp plus the final scene in the movie The VVitch(no shit the movie The VVitch didn't come up with that idea, nor the Blair Witch Project, etc; it's obviously a v v v old "motif" or "theme"; and yes, I know this came out before The VVitch, so maybe it inspired him then 😈😜). These Brooklyn witches low key have some of the best videos I've ever seen tho; intentional or not, I find something new to marvel at in each viewing. Like a Coen Brothers movie, they respect yet have a ball with their inspirations, or "pastiches" or "genre play",in an unpretentious clever way, but they're also their own thing, musically, cinematically, art, etc, like Coen Bros (who are also inspired by Sam Raimi, i.e. Evil Dead), or Ti West, are their own when it comes to film. I honestly don't think they're satire or serious or not serious or worried about what I think either, but I just have to share my awe🖤
Also feel free to shit on my film thoughts/ comparisons bc I admittedly dunno cinema v well at all. It's obviously v Vincent Price, or whoever else, B movie inspired probably too, yes.
