Watching this video of the Vivian Girls makes me wistful. It is a privilege to see them live and I know it wont last forever. Nothing great ever does. Their music is beautiful. Lightning in a bottle. This particular RU-vid video and associated comment section is not and has not been advertised as "an open forum for anybody to express any opinion they want". You're more than welcome to start a website and compile negative comments about anything you want for public consumption. But as long as I run this RU-vid video, I can run it however I want and if you don't like it then maybe you could petition the Diaper Baby Society Of America to force RU-vid's hand on the issue.
This is actually a REALLY good video. It's great that instead of just going with the standard way of doing a performance video, they actually use the fact that it's a video and they can edit it to give the viewer a more whole experience of the performance.
The sheer amount of brainless, hateful twaddle that is submitted for comment on this and every other video I have on RU-vid is depressing to say the least. As long as I have the power to moderate comments and differentiate my content's presentation on the internet from many other presentations that are full of hatespeech, idiocy and misogyny I'm gonna weild it like goddamn Conan.

@bikinikiller08 most definitely agree. She has that kinda "fuck you' body language when she's playing like she doesn't care what people think and she just wants to rock. It sort reminds of vocalist liam gallagher in a way... I mean..just the body language. Cassie is fucking awesome though , I could definitely fall for her lol She's definitely my favorite front woman.

@GalenPepys As the guy who has to delete every comment that insults the ladies for their looks and approves all the compliments (music based or otherwise) I agree with this. Except the "cunt" part, cus that kind of takes the wind out of the sail you were hoisting. But its a worthwhile sail to hoist on a boat of society being less stupid sailing the ocean of equality. Or something. Unless you're British, cus I think "cunt" is the equivalent of "person" in America.
So... we now on our 4th cycle of kids who just learned to play their instruments singing the same stuff in the same way that 3 previous generations have already done. Rock & Roll is so dead... Still, I wish these girls had been around in 1977.
you only allow comments that compliment this band? why not let some of the truth of everyone's opinion come thru? they're good, yeah, but not everyone's cup of tea. it just seems fake to block out every negative reaction.
Anyone who has to filter comments of other people rather than let people express free speech, and then degrade other people for theirs on a public forum should be a politician.
