I have to laugh at people moaning that Viv disappeared in this match, the reality is that the defence and midfield didn't seem to be able to keep possession in their own half to play it up the field to give Viv a decent amount of quality service. How can she score or have plenty of shots on target if the ball isn't getting out of the Arsenal half?
We see issues like this so many times where the striker is basically none existent in a game because of service. Manchester United did well against them and Chelsea.
@@souixds if you look at the matches she is apparently going missing in the defence and midfield are trying g to play it out and losing possession in their own half. Viv then drops deep to try and make something happen but the team are not overlapping to give her options to play it forward, or she's switching out to the wing but the team are not getting enough players into the box for her to provide assists. She is one player out of 10 outfield players on the pitch and can't be in every position at once.
Viv looked very concentrated at the beginning of the match, but didn't get many chances to chances to show her abilities. Hope she'll do better in the next match.
🤣🤣🤣She's playing my team next (Chelsea) I believe she's a good player but for now Arsenal lacks the depth ManU and Chelsea have built with their teams, If Viv is out of commission for a month I think Arsenal would lose points. ManU and Chelsea don't rely on specific players, they rely on the team as a whole to create chances and keep possession of the ball, I think Chelsea would win against Arsenal on Sunday or at least get a draw.
Man U totally out played them. They were so more physical than Arsenal, stronger and faster by far. Man U looks so much bigger, Amy Turner is a beast. Arsenal misses Lisa and Jordan and needs to figure out why they can't keep their players on the field.
She looks as miserable as she did in her last season at Bayern and so does Lisa, it should be remembered that when Lisa moved to Bayern she was a much bigger name in the women's Bundesliga than Viv and that Viv along with pretty much every professional analyst knows how good and crucial player Lisa is for any team she plays for. She moves off the ball to drag defenders out of position to create space for the rest of the team or moves into space that no one else has seen, she is lightening fast, can deliver an inch perfect pass to where the recipient is going to be without even looking and is truly two footed.
If you watch the full match and focused on Vivianne especially in the 2nd half, she would show anger and frustration when the midfielders don't pass the ball or is intercepted, etc. Look like she would quit the club. But thats just frustration, and would move on to next game.
@@deltaboy2011 It's happening every time we play a big club because there appears to be no tactical plan. The whole squad has gone from confident and crisp passing and fast movement to not seeming to know what to do with the ball and losing possession in their own half. This has to be laid at the feet of the manager as he is supposed to put the right players in the right positions and give them a clear tactical plan and ensure they are doing the basics well. Also how come we are the only team that consistently gets 6-10 injuries despite playing the same number of matches as every other WSL team.
@@robinaldred312 Looks like Man City, MU, Chelsea stepped up their game. And as you said, the manager needs to help guide the team when dealing with such top teams in terms of tactics and who the players will be against such opposition. Think he's making a mistake claiming small squad is better. Not sure how that would work in football. The injuries are coming either because they are unlucky, or not physically conditioned right or not getting the the right nutritionist. One of the things I've learned is making sure to recover from injuries correctly. Like when muscles healed, have to make sure the muscles heal correctly like being straight, if the muscles healed and they overlapped or cross over each other, they could tear easily again.
@@deltaboy2011 I noticed viv very rarely received the ball from the others and when she did she lost it very quickly or took sloppy touches. But you also have to remember they have all had to readjust and get used to the new rules put in place becuase of covid, they're bodies are most likely still getting used to being used regularly again. Granted they've been back for for while now.
