Vivid Hair Color Melt with Blue Shadow Roots | Let's Play Elumen Series | Goldwell Education Plus 

Color different and mix shades of Elumen Play direct hair dyes to create this vivid purple and orange color melt look with blue shadow roots! Alternate the a+b/ a+c formulas below and use the Elumen Merging freehand coloring technique to seamlessly merge 2 colors in one strand.
Starting Level:
pre-lightened to level 9
Regrowth and nape:
a) 40 ml Elumen Play @VIOLET
+ 20 ml Elumen Play @BLUE
+ 20 ml Elumen Play @CLEAR
Mid-lengths and ends:
merging technique (a+b / a+c)
b) 10 ml Elumen Play @PASTEL CORAL
+ 10 ml Elumen Play @PASTEL ROSE
+ 6 ml Elumen Play @PINK
c) 10 ml Elumen Play @PASTEL CORAL
+ 10 ml Elumen Play @PASTEL ROSE
+ 6 ml Elumen Play @PINK
+ 2 ml Elumen Play @ORANGE
Sectioning of Merging Technique:
The sections which were use for this Technique are a mix of diagonal and horizontal. Each sectioning depends on the final effect, e.g. Horizontal will give more width of color and Diagonal will give more movement.
Motion of the Merging Technique:
Merge the colors together in one strand simply by using your 2 fingers (index and middle) and smudging/blending the connection line. This will make the “connection line” disappear and blend together. The motion used in this technique can be upwards and downwards until the connection line is disappeared to your preference.
Application of Merging Technique:
By wearing always gloves in this Technique, make sure that you have the maximum saturation on the strand. As a freehand Technique merge colors together and clean the gloves to proceed with the next strand, always making sure that you separate each section (most critical if there is a big tonality difference from one section to another).
Note: make sure to crosscheck each section for saturation and blending prior to move at the next section.
