The mv of this is a creepy one, you would thought it has a bad meaning but the truth is, it has a beautiful meaning behind those creepy things, so touching
@@trashfailsbloopers4243 i think it means they will stay and love this girl even though she causes the boys pain, because in the mv she in torturing them through the voodoo doll. So all the anger in her is directed at them. But VIXX loves her so much that they are willing to stay.
@@armymydaycaratnctzenatinyaroha I wouldn't necessarily say that's touching, though, or that the mv is much different from the song's meaning. In the mv the girl physically tortures them & They are at her mercy. It's the same in the lyrics, just emotionally. They will give everything to her, no matter if she returns the feelings or actually cares for them, even if they get hurt. It portrays an unhealthy/abusive relationship, one that they should/ need to escape yet can't bring themselves to. That's sad, not touching. Edit: Whoops, just realized you weren't the one who said it was beautiful and touching. My apologies. Hopefully OP gets the notif for this & reads it anyways. I'm still not 100% sure how yt's notif system for comments works.
What Ravi says: "you shot right through my heart, i will fall for you" What I hear: "ea sha thrai tu mahar, ai wi fha fho shu" *shhhh only snakes understand him*
Ravi's first line in his rap (Yeah, Open the doors of hell) just made me think of Satanhyuk coming from the depths of hell dramatically with his army of Naruto Otakus that have gone to hell reading SasuNaru smut
+Eli Nama And he actually did it in the Utopia concert if you got to see it either in person or on the DVD xDD He literally called out hellfire in his rap it was INSANE. There was fire EVERYWHERE.
So I came her to make sure I was correct on what the lyrics are (learning Korean) and I must say these lyrics are so sad. The lady always comes back to our boys in tears because of a boyfriend. All our boys want is for the girl to be happy, even if it means sacrificing himself for her. And she doesn't see it/appreciate it and now he's trying to figure out if he should stay or go as he continues to protect the girl. That's so sad!!!! And it makes me appreciate VIXX even more than I already do
AngelStuff3 Memory is an awesome song, one of my favorites and Hyuk has such a beautiful and smooth quality to his voice. I agree, they really should start making more use of his talent.
+AngelStuff3 Actually, he has half a song to himself xD omg I can't get enough of Hyuk and Hongbin's voices!! Why do they get so few liiiines!!!! ...don't tell me I already know but STIIIIILL xD
I miss black Vixx so much!! Their artistic performances, more than a ballet art show instead of a regular boy band dance, their powerful expressions, high tunes and dark spirits... I wish they all comeback with their used stylish and misterious album!! I wish they at least come back!!
All their dark songs were so unique and creative , these songs to me are the best in the whole kpop world of boy groups . The melody of these songs has a mysterious tone that makes me want to listen to it more and more.
2:48 Jaehwan’s line here was the first time I realized what a great vocalist he was. It’s not an epic high note, but the emotion he delivers that line with really adds so much to the song.
*Hmm I wonder who VIXX is?* **Clicks on Error** O.O Well then. Alright. Creepy, but severely interesting. It wouldn't hurt to listen to another song would it? Nah. Let's see. **Clicks this video** **Dances** Yeayah! This isn't half bad! Yeah I could get into this. _It was at this moment Olivia realized she was becoming a fan_ What are VIXX fans called?
olivia thegamer I did the same thing when I first Became a fan Haha ! Their fans are called Starlights ^-^ Vixx is my bias group keke. Welcome to the fandom Olivia !
I never thought I'd ever listen to VIXX but one day I was bored and clicked on Voodoo Doll's mv, I was captivated by Hongbin's acting like a mad person
Maybe that's the virtue of symbols. metaphors and similes... Still; those lyrics are quite direct and expressive if you'd ask me for my humble opinion ;) I guess I'll keep being thankful to whatever witchcraft that is protecting them from getting fully censored...
*Clicks on Error* I know the song, but I seek some more.. *Clicks on next* OH nice :D *Downloads all* *Putts all on laptop and mp3* Starlight people, anymore great songs that I can love?
+Taeh What songs do you have so far?^^ I'll just suggest some non-title tracks: Love Letter, Light up the Darkness, B.O.D.Y, Beautiful Killer, What U Waiting For, Sad Ending
The King, Alive, Secret Night, What To Do, Hyde, G.R.8.U, Beautiful Liar, Time Machine, Chained Up, Dynamite, Six Feet Under, and Youth Hurts are all good
You call me when you’re hurting You only disclose it to me, who you want Should I turn back time, should I give you his heart When you can’t forget you need to take it Just believe in me and follow, he’s coming to me Time is on your side, just wait The tears he made you cry, I’ll cry them for you Tick tock tick tock, everything will come true If you can’t have it, I’ll just live for you No matter how much, if it’s you I’m ready to get hurt From now on watch closely what I’m about to do If it’s you my body is not wasted Just say the name and I’ll bring them to you Tick tock tick tock everything will come true If I can’t give it to you, step over me Nobody can treat you recklessly Whatever the reason is, you need me Me that becomes a doll to fight for you I shut my hurting eyes and run for you Just please don’t leave me Whatever you want, I’ll give it to you Tick tock tick tock everything will come true Even if I’m destroyed, as long as it’s in your hands I’m here, I’ll cry all the tears in the world From now on watch closely what I’m about to do If it’s you my body is not wasted Just say the name and I’ll bring them to you Tick tock tick tock everything will come true Should I go Should I stay Nobody knows (Woo~) Should I go Should I stay Nobody knows (Woo~) Yeah Open the doors of hell Sinners who made her cry, Cry tears of blood Sing it, the song of the curse, Tell me the hidden fury inside of you My flesh is an offering to you, I’ll devote myself to your happiness If you smile just once I’m satisfied I’ll do everything instead, everything you wish for Even if my remaining time diminishes Whoever this becomes watch carefully, don’t make her cry I don’t have anything else to give up That person doesn’t know me, the pain in my heart Tick tock tick tock everything will disappear Should I go Should I stay Nobody knows (Woo~) Should I go Should I stay (Should I go Should I stay) Nobody knows (Woo~) Everything will come true
Idk why. It's been years, but still I'm going into this song. For me, this is meaningful, VIXX's Voodoo Doll's lyrics are still into me. I can't forget how they made this, this is an art. For me, in Lovelyz's latest comeback: "Destiny" and VIXX's "Voodool Doll" are the most perfect lyrics I've seen. Speaking, as an ultimately Inspirit.
Did Ravi write this? Because if he did, man. Between this and Chained Up, I'm thinking Ravi is a little sub in his relationships. XD I'm feeling conflicted, because I really, really love Leo, but I kind of think Ravi's pretentious. But Leo loves Ravi (like, they're close). So he can't be SUCH a jerk. Dammit.
+Cara Elizabeth Ravi wrote the rap for this song and Kim Eana wrote the other lyrics and was composed by Hyuk Shin (He composed Shinee's Dream Girl and Exo's Growl) ^^ I personally think Ravi's a sweetie but his image is different! I can't help but wonder how you thought that Ravi's pretentious? His lyrics might sometimes make him come off as that but he's not really ^_^ and all members are close, not just LR! Are you a new starlight?
Viki Topalova Thank you for clarifying who wrote it. I really like this song and frankly wish Vixx would do more dark concepts. I don't know if I would call myself a Starlight - I like Hongbin, I like Hyokie and I adore Leo - but the other three I like less. My feelings are complicated about this. Leo is very much like me - not necessarily shy, but soft spoken and uses no more words than he needs. He also comes off as very literal and not interested in BS or horsing around. These are things I share, and I have Asperger's syndrome. I have no idea if Leo does or not, but even if he doesn't, I feel like I understand his way of seeing the world very well. It makes me want to protect him. N and Ken particularly seem to bully him because of it. I totally admit maybe I have just seen things only from one perspective, but I always seem to see them teasing Leo or making him do things he's uncomfortable with and then laughing about it. I'm sure I just take it too personally, but that happened to me a lot with former friends. It brings bad memories back. Also, Ken is a ham and I don't like that he always seems to be attention whoring. Ravi ... at first I hated him because I love IKON and I thought Ravi was a whiny child about Bobby's dissing during Show Me The Money. Dissing is part of rap, and if someone can't stand that they shouldn't be a rapper. But then I found out I misinterpreted Ravi's song where he clapped back, and that he and Bobby made up anyway, so that was ok. I still dislike his rapping style just as a personal preference - he sounds very choppy and wooden to me, and doesn't flow smoothly. That's just my opinion, though. In terms of pretentiousness ... I don't know. He gives off that vibe in his lyrics but he also ... I don't know. He wears weird things, he says his role model is Kanye West, who's arrogant, and I just get the sensation that Ravi is full of himself. I totally admit I could be wrong, but that's how it has appeared. But like I said, I still get conflicted because Leo clearly likes Ravi a lot and they are very close. So he can't be all bad even if my instincts are right. I'm really sorry for the novel, I just have a lot of conflicting feelings about all this! Lol
+Cara Elizabeth I can totally see where you're coming from and I also first saw Ken as a bit of an attention score however when I first got into Vixx it was a while before Ikon and the rapping business so I had already seen Ravi. All rappers are full of themselves to some point (I mean, have you read some of BTS' Suga's raps? Wow.) but self-confidence is important because a lot of rappers in k-pop groups are considered people who are good-looking enough to be part of a group but not talented enough to sing (If you know SHINee's Minho, you'll understand fully what I mean XD). I'm not really defending Vixx right now because we, Starlights, try to be mature and understanding about everyone's opinions. Personally, I find your opinion refreshing because most Vixx haters are like "I hate all of them! They have no talent!" Blah, blah, blah. Everyone, to some level, sympathizes with Leo. For example, I have strong social anxiety when speaking to someone face-to-face and Leo is so painfully shy on camera because he's most likely not used to it completely. The quiet aura around him has become his image/concept as an idol now although he must be more comfortable. His demeanor/nature is very calming, quiet, and smart in a way but he's definitely more confident off camera (there are a few pieces of evidence around somewhere, I'm sure). I don't know Leo on a personal level, however, this is what my perception is of him. N and Ken are both quite loud and bouncy kind of people (If you know what I mean) and their personalities contrast highly with Leo's, but that's what makes their friendship bond stronger. N and Leo are chingus (same age friends) so they're obviously close because of their age status putting them together (You must be familiar with the Korean age system, right? ^_^) and Ken is in third place by ages (Oldest- Leo, N, Ken, Ravi, Hongbin, Hyuk -Youngest) so all three are somewhat close like how Hongbin, Hyuk and Ravi are (Mostly Hyuk and Hongbin are spotted being extremely friendly towards eachother). Leo and Ravi have a special friendship. Both are quiet because Ravi also doesn't like too much attention on him at times and both are considered the "quietest members", which they both called themselves during LR promotions. Ravi respects Leo as a hyung and talented singer and Leo respects Ravi as an able songwriter and a pretty good rapper. All of Vixx are close and you can spot a lot of smaller friendships shown during different times during their variety shows. Coming back to what you're saying about Ravi in general, he is not the best rapper. He's no Song Mino/Minho or Jay Park but he's talented enough. Before debut and during training, he was told that his rapping was somewhat agressive at times and not understandable (as in too fast). He worked really hard, like any other idol, to get to here and I'm personally proud even though I've only been a Starlight for about a year now. His rapping style is unique, in my opinion, and I agree that it doesn't flow as well as it could but that's what makes it a Vixx song, right? With any other rapper rapping, it wouldn't be Vixx... Also, have you seen their recent singles? In Chained Up, his rap is much better in comparison to now and in their new Japanese single, Depend On Me, his rap is one of the song highlights to me because of the dark concept, beat and his rough but rhyme-y voice. Wow, I just realised that I've also been ranting, sorry! I hope you don't think I'm arguing with you in any way, not even subtly! And, even if you don't particularly like Vixx in itself, I hope you enjoy their music!
+Viki Topalova First, I want to thank you for not jumping down my throat. So many fans do it, of many different groups. Heck, I'm an IKONIC and have seen some really nasty things said to Incles (WINNER). We all need to be civil and polite to each other. You give a good impression of Starlights :) That is a good point that rappers sometimes get stereotyped as "the bad singer" or something like that, and I hadn't thought of that. I'm a bit of a YG stan normally, and all the rappers in my favorite groups are talented singers - T.O.P. (his voice is beautiful; Hongbin reminds me of him when he sings), G-Dragon, B.I., Tablo, Mino (I looooove Mino, he's amazing). So since a lot of my favorite idol rappers are great singers too, I maybe forget that. Though I've heard Ravi sing and frankly think he has nothing to be ashamed of. But I can understand how he might feel he had to work against that stereotype. Confidence is never really a bad thing, but too much can be. Something else also occurred to me - the first place I ever saw Ravi (rather than just heard him rap) was on Show Me The Money, and literally all I saw was aggression and misplaced cockiness, as well as being very defensive. It's understandable but it really didn't endear him to anyone, and he didn't do very well besides. I think I might have come away with a different impression of him if I had, for example, seen him with Leo first. It does make me smile that he and Leo are so close. I've heard Leo called the kawaii prince of darkness, which makes me laugh, but Ravi just seems to get him. I don't like, ship it, I don't like doing that with real people, but their friendship always makes me smile, and I do think they love each other like brothers. I can't speak for Leo, obviously, but I know that I have one or two friends who just Understand Me 99% of the time - I don't have to explain things or justify myself and that's how they seem to be, and it matters so, so much. You said you struggle with similar things, so maybe you have someone like that too. It was just funny because I didn't have the greatest opinion of Ravi, but if Leo trusted/trusts him so much, he had to have good in him. And at this point I may try to give especially Ken another chance - while his personality doesn't appeal to me, I would never say he isn't talented; he's incredibly talented. Also, I was messing around on youtube and saw some videos where I saw a very tender side of Ken, and a lot of tears - I didn't know they sometimes call him Kenjumma, which makes me laugh out loud. Korean men are more likely to get visibly emotional than they are in my culture, and I actually appreciate that - there's nothing wrong with being honest, after all. I'm still not feeling that N is a very nice person - he seems to abuse his power a bit, and while it's good that he tries to get Leo out of his comfort zone, there is a difference between doing that and pushing too hard. I am familiar with the Korean age system, but I didn't know the word 친구. So I learned something there. I clearly have a lot of opinions on this matter, lol. Maybe I will listen to Depend on Me, though I thought it was in Japanese, which I don't understand nearly as well as Korean. My very best to you regardless.
+Cara Elizabeth I would suggest to know more as about N to watch his '4 Thing' episode (on RU-vid or daily motion w/ eng subs). He does explain why he is overbearing and hard on them since the beginning from MYDOL.
Good god this is messed up. Disturbing. And yet freaking awesome at the same time. I am enchanted by the chord progression in this song.. it gives me goosebumps.
For people who not get it, it's about toxic relationship, vixx never sings about healthy relationships 😂 I love this song and really miss vixx and their artistic live performances
Okay so I've watched the music video before but never really looked up the lyrics or what it was about but holy jesus I was expecting anything but this ;_;
I always wondered who sung the beginning of the chorus "look carefully at what I'm going to do" because the voice was so enchanting, and when I found out it was Leo I was not shocked 😊☺️
dude the original MV for this is scary asf! But reading the correct Hangul I finally understand the story behind the MV and why it was so creepy. Love your work by the way kimoi212000! ^3^
Still listening to this in 2018. At first the video really left me a bad impression so that I never really appreciated the song itself but now I do and love it so much. BTW that amazing falsetto starting at 3:21 is by Ken, not Hyuk or N.
