Ido not have a problem withthe chinese producing work that is similar to other countries and learning techniques to better their art. I do have a problem when they go all over the world to pick up techniques to intentionally under cut everyone else. They go and learn processes so they can come back, trane their factory workers, pay them pennies, and sell the glass for a fraction of the cost. then here in america we get screwed because everything costs so much more, and we have labor laws.
Every culture has something to offer and pass down the same way other European countries borrowed the fine art of ancient Chinese porcelain and pottery making skills and a lot of American glass artist learned techniques from the Italian glass masters and other European country glass artisans as well so in turn us Americans wich had all the influence of many different diverse cultures combined sampled and copied a little bit of everything.
Have some respect for craftsmanship all of those designs are ripped from American and Italian designers. All they care about is produce more for as cheap as they can. Also no one care about their acient culture here glass working was started in Egypt and the middle east.
first of all these guys do not have great hand skills. everything is poorly blown and completely off center. Second Americans did not go over to italy and steal ideas. People like Lino came to America and tought Italian techniques.
