Not exactly sir. This project was stalled for almost 30 years. Its only in 2016 we got a nod from centre and state. And even today this project has its own hurdles. Even today some special interests group want to stall this project. And I know some of them are malayalis. This port is not just a threat to Colombo but a life threat to a prominent port in our own state( not mentioning the name. Some can guess) The lobby is also strong.
