@@lv1543 I haven't dipped my toes into it yet, but I might in the future. I'd either try an elite Spec Ops campaign (counterpart to ODST) or try and adapt Chief's escape from Truth's Forerunner Keyship
Yeah, the entire franchise really fell off after Halo 2 in '04. Crazy there hasn't been a good FPS Halo since then (ODST is dope, but feels more like a DLC). Wars was good. Infinite at least felt like an attempt to return to the classic CE/H2 days in a modern setting with new dynamics.
That Marvin Morbuto mini-campaign is exactly the type of stuff I want to see from Halo's modding community. Bringing those cool moments and stories from the books and side content into the games. I'd love to see someone adapt Breaking Quarantine, First Strike, and Contact Harvest.

thats up to someone else if they want to do it. ai on multiplayer maps makes the map unusable for normal multiplayer and they really dont pathfind around stuff well enough to be fun as a solo experience. if you want to play them there are multiple communitys that do gamenights where a bunch of mcc mp mods get played on the regular
@SunnyMitten no it wouldn't because bungie halos didn't have this ability either. You would need a complete rewrite of netcode, which is outside the scope of what can be done with the mod tools. Odst and reach are the only engines that have working ai sync and thats only in the firefight modes that doesnt extend to multiplayer
Someone really needs to do a lore accurate mod of the marines and odsts perspectives on alpha halo. It could potentially make up a large amount of content and could even span 2 or more perspectives (marine perspective, maybe Johnson, and odst perspective, maybe Lt. McKay or Cpl. Locklear). The interactions with chief could be fleshed out with an ai chief to assist you at certain points of the game, while the rest of it relies on pure manpower grit and determination from the marines and odsts. If you chose Johnson’s perspective you could see his escape from the swamp from the 343 guilty spark mission, from McKays perspective could see the conclusion to the ODSTs under Silva and the truth and reconciliation, and under locklears perspective (and some others like Johnson or Polanski or haverson) you could show the conclusion for the other survivors of alpha halo and lead into the contents of halo first strike. There’s really a lot of potential to do a mod like this I’m not sure why it seems like no one really has since eric nylunds novels seem to be well liked.

Upsetting that the Marvin morbuto campaign isn’t Lore accurate. Looks fun regardless but he didn’t land separated from the rest of the unsc, and run into the monitor as a lone survivor and get teleported to the library like that video shows… he fought with the rest of the marines, regrouped at alpha base, fought in several conflicts on alpha halo and was with the rest of the marine party that raided the pillar of autumn for supplies to defend alpha base which was happening while chief was at the silent cartographer. While off on his own in the pillar of autumn, he ran into spark, who then teleported him to the library shortly after the flood had been released, which canonically happened before the end of the silent cartographer mission when Foehammer said the captain was out of contact.
Where was this info from? In The Flood, the only info we get is Guilty Spark saying, "I foundhim wandering through a structure on the other side of the ring, and brought him to the same point where you started".
I’m going to stay with these mods. Because who knows, maybe eldewrito is a spyware campaign by some people that are NOT the original eldewrito team. I have no clue who these people are but they could be anyone! “False positive” my ass. Could be made by H5 cultists to hurt classic fans.
I gotta say this is one of the most disappointing mod showcases i've seen in a while. A lot of the same stuff, maybe rebaking lights on a map, or just removing textures and calling it a mod??? Huh???? What about things beyond just model or texture swaps, or custom firefight again for like the 8th time? Aren't there official mod tools that actually let the sky be the limit?
did we watch the same showcase? 3 custom campaigns? a proper port of an old custom edition campaign mission to mcc that is getting 15 year old bugfixes and refinements as well as a port and remaster in halo 3s engine? new additions to an already popular multiplayer mod?
All these Mac World weapons and custom makes me think of Perfect Dark lol. Big fan of PD and Halo btw. Can you possibly make some sort of a Perfect Dark and Halo Mashup? I mean, I paly console, but it'd be pretty cool to see 🎉🎉
