Sweet cover dude! I see you're using a 7 string. Did they switch to B standard on this album or did you just tune to C? Also, any chance you got the tabs handy?
Dude that guitar is sick. It looks purple in the video but I can only find this in blue and dark grey. Am I just seeing things or did you get a limited edition purple finish?
+The Almighty Loaf I get my tones with BIAS by positivegrid. I actually had a shitty $40 interface so that is definitely not the reason for the good sound.
Dude how do you do that up and down circular motion picking in the beginning? I need to learn this technique if I ever wanna play funeral thirst or a lot of bdm songs. Idk how to do up and down picking like that. Like I can do fast alternate picking on one string. But I can’t handle two strings back and forth (idk if I’m explaining myself)
dude practice the chorus riff from what a horrible night to have a curse by them. the correct way to play it, is similar to what dudes doing above. it's kinda one of Black Dahlias things in a way. but yeah bro, I only just recently conquered that shit coupe yrs ago. dude I had to re-teach myself guitar basically and learn proper picking technique because it is truly the key to playing good, conquering a rut your in, getting over a playing plateau, etc. Proper picking technique and good habits are the damn key to everything with guitar. I know this from experience now. This technique hes doing btw is something Steveie ray Vaughn does. it's kinda got a rooted feel in blues to me if that makes sense. I'll try to find a video and link it though. just start out slow man. you'll get it i promsie
I think he just needs to tune down the 7-2 strings one step so that they resemble the 6 strings of the standard guitar. Meaning he never needs to use the 1st string.
